Intel HD 630 on Prime H270M-Plus mobo - cannot connect second display via HDMI

My system is

CPU intel I5-7400 @ 3GHz

8Gb RAM

Win 10 x64

video onboard HD 630

I have the latest drivers installed - march 2019 version

I use one display on VGA- works fine.

I need one secondary display on HDMI.

From bios I enabled Multi display as required

Still there is no signal getting to the monitor-TV and the Intel utility does not detect any other display except the primary.

the mobo is new just bought it last november.

how to tell if the fault if from the display , the hdmi port or the mobo?

help please I am left out of options

many thanks

Can you try a different hdmi cable?

did proved. Forgot to write it.

Another detail: hdmi toi DVI- I also have such connection cable- DVI on Mobo not workin also- is not recognizing display.

What I did:

I have 2 display

One Acer and one LG

Acer is only VGA

LG is VGA, HDMI

I have 2 cables

hdmi to HDMI

and

HDMI to DVI

The LG has been tested on another computer on HDMI and works

The HDMI to HDMI cable was tested with the monitor in another pc I own- works fine

The HDMI to DVI cable works the same tested the same

When I try to connect the LG display as secondary to my Intel hd 630, with the Acer on VGA as primary- LG on HDMI fails, also Fails using hdmi to dvi.

I use latest drivers- tested also with the tool Intel provides.

I enabled the multi in bios setting the output on vid onboard chipset ( was auto but better to be precise)

Is it possible that no other port works except vga on a brand new mobo???

Update:

After moving and pushing the connector against the pc case I found the guilty piece: The case - it keeps the connectors about 2 to 3 mm out due to the mobo being a bit more inside then normal. At this point obviously the vga , that is less sensible is acting fine but dvi and hdmi suffer. I had the metal plate on the back of the case removed and now connectors can be reached fine.

Sorry for the fuss. But this can also be help full to everyone that never thought of checking the depth the connectors run .

Admin can you please close the topic?

regards

Antonia
