lay dr Hello guys,
I hope you could help me with my problem..
I have an ASUS N76V laptop. There is no blu-ray player in it.
So I bought an extern blu-ray player.
After I installed the blu-ray player. I can run a check if my laptop
is compatible. It's called Cyberlink BD Advisor.
Almost everything passes the test. except the drivers.
I already installed the latest drivers. Still can't play blu-rays with my blu-ray player. Could anybody help me?
Is there a driver coming who makes this compatible?
Hope to hear from you soon,
Regards,
Dirk

ddes, according to the report you have just provided, you are still not using the latest video driver in our web site. This is posted at:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Desktop+graphics+drivers&ProductProduct=3rd+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+4000&ProdId=3712&LineId=1100&FamilyId=39 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Desktop+graphics+drivers&ProductProduct=3rd+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+4000&ProdId=3712&LineId=1100&FamilyId=39
The driver version should be 15.31.9.64.3165 (9.18.10.3165).
Another thing you should check, is that Cyberlink BD Advisor is able to detect that USB Bluray player in order to use their software.

I tried to install the latest driver. But I got an error.
Oké that's in dutch. But it is saying it is not validated for this pc. Ask supplier for the right drivers.
Installation will be closed

Thank you ddes.
Please be aware that we provide generic drivers that have not been developed or tested specially for your system.
If you still need to use the generic drivers, you can try to force the generic driver by uninstalling the driver that was provided by your laptop manufacturer, this is done through the Control Panel, go to programs and features. Then locate any entry similar to Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator or video driver and remove it. After that, restart your system and try to install the generic driver again.
You can also try to force the driver with the instructions on this site:
http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022355.htm http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022355.htm
For this use the zip file posted on the same URL I gave you

Ok. I have uninstalled my drivers and now I have the latest driver (9.18.10.3165).
I plugged in my blu-ray driver. But I still got the same problem.
This is the error .>>
On other pc's and laptops
the blu-ray disc works and plays.
Regards,
Dirk.
Thanks so far, now I have at least the latest drivers

That seems to be related to the format of the disc not a problem indicating issues with the video driver.
Try changing the DVD format/region using the information posted here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc757394%28WS.10%29.aspx Change region settings for DVD drives: Management Services

It is an issue with video driver. DVD is working on other pc and laptop. But not on my laptop.
The problem should be there as well, if it was a problem with the disc.
I have tried changing dvd region.. It didn't help. I'm very disappointed. Intel has good motherboards, but
Intel onboard graphics card is crap. I do recommend everybody not to buy a laptop with Intel onboard graphics card.
I hope you do have a solution. By the way there was a new driver. I updated my laptop with the newest driver and still got the problem.
Regards,
Dirk
