Intel HM55 graphics on LCD TV

Hello all, I have an embedded graphics question that I hope you can help me with.

I have an Intel HM55 graphics chipset, which for what I do is great.

Ive searched long and far and cannot find an answer.

I am running windows 7 64 bit

My question is when I plug my laptop through hdmi to my Sony 40" hdtv, which is only 6 months old, I can set the resolution to 1920x1080 but I then cannot see the whole screen, the border is gone. I have tried overscan but does not work, my TV is set to progressive scan and still does not work, I have updated to the newest drivers, and it still does this, the only way for me to view without any problems is to set it 1680x1050.

Also when i unplug the HDMI, it tells me that the optimal resolution in 1280x768, when in fact it should be 1366x768

If there is an answer I am hoping someone here can help me.....

Thank You
