Intel (R) HD Graphics 5500 crashes automatically. Tried everything.

A couple of times a week my Intel (R) HD Graphics 5500 crashes automatically. The brightness keys stop working and when I open Windows Edge, the zoom is in 105%, when normally I use it in 125. I've tried uninstalling the device in device mangers as well as looking for any updates. When reinstalled, it works completely fine but eventually it crashes again. Does anybody know what could I do?

Hello DiegoEscalante,

Could you please let me know the driver version you are running? Please go to Device Manger> Display adapters> Intel(R) HD Graphics right click on Properties and then go to Driver, you will be able to see the version installed.

This has happened to me just recently after I updated the driver to 20.19.15.4360.

dabcre, have you tried installing a different driver version? I tried checking for this driver version, but is not available from our end. See here for the downloads; https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/86210/Intel-HD-Graphics-5500 Downloads for Intel® HD Graphics 5500
