I've read other posts talking about this. This is my experience: Yesterday, before shutting my PC down I decided to install some Optional Updates, I remember one of them was called "Intel graphics 'dunnowhat'". Today I cannot open any fullscreen 3D game installed in my computer. I have to say I've been having these computer locks/freeze since I built this new computer but it only occured ocassionally. I have restored my computer to a previous point
Aditional information:
Software version: 2729 (I installed the latest one but it still happens)
W7 Professional 64 bits
8gb ddr3 (2x4)
I need help, what can I do? I haven't found any successful answer in these forums or any other.

Hi Martin,
You can check your windows update history by opening up Windows Update and clicking on the "Update History" button on the left tab. Can you check that and tell me what the update was that was installed?
Additionally, can you provide the following information:
-What brand/model is your mobo?
-What driver version is currently installed?
-What games specifically are you having issues with?
-What's the speed of your RAM?
-What version of your BIOS are you currently running?
Thanks!

I think you should read more carefully my posts, I've just installed the software I told you I already tried and locked my computer right after launching my games. If there's no solution at the moment, could you link me to the previous version I had? 9.17.10.2729 with this version it only occurs ocassionally...
Right now it's worse than before I started this thread since it locks every time

The driver (9.17.10.2729) is a Windows 8 64 bit driver, which is probably why you're experiencing issues since you stated you are using Win7 64. Here's the driver for Win7 64: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z77V/# download ASUS - Motherboards- ASUS P8Z77-V
Let me know how it goes.

Fixed! Bios 1709 was just release for my P8Z77-V Deluxe mobo and it fixed the freeze issue with the new intel driver. Can play Call of Duty Black Ops 2 now! /tags/# /?tags=cod:bo2 cod:bo2
FYI my system: Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe, i7 3770K, 16GB G.Skill @2133, 256GB SSD Samsung S830
Btw, does anyone know why Asus never adds detailed release notes for a bios update? Or do they? Not at the download page for sure.
Regards,
Thijs

My motherboard is not the Asus p8z77-v Deluxe, just p8z77-v . I've installed the GPU update and my pc locked once after that so I guess it's not fixed yet. Today I will download the 1708 version of the BIOS of my mobo to see how it works. Happy to hear that it has fixed the freezes in Deluxe.

Config: Intel i7-3570K, Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe, Windows 8 Pro 64-bit, with the latest bios and drivers.
