Intel's Arc A770 and A750 GPUs sold between Oct and Dec 22 Have Hidden Security Flaws

I read that I should contact customer support on this if I have an affected GPU.

This is the closest I've been able to find to the relevant customer support.

I have an A750LE that I bought on 10/18/22 so I was wondering what I should do.

Is there a bios flash, special driver or something?

I've flashed Nvidia and AMD before without issue.

The 2 rebar systems I have that sometimes run the A750 are:

Asus Prime Z690-P, 13900kf, 64GB Gskill 6400, Optane & gen4 nvme

Aorus Z690i Ultra Lite , 13600k, 32GB Gskill 6400, Optane & gen4 nvme

The A750 runs well.  I have no complaints.  I just wanted to resolve the security thing before I forgot about it.

I heard about them from a website which referenced Intel's security center bulletin:  INTEL-SA-00812

It doesn't seem that serious, but

"Recommendation:

Contact Intel product support in your region for assistance with any Intel® Arc™ graphics cards A770 and A750 sold between October of 2022 and December of 2022."

I'm following the recommendation to see if there is anything I should be doing.

I suppose I should have been more specific by including the bulletin by name.

I'm not seeing any problems and my A750 resides on my home pc so I don't expect any strangers will use it, but I do sometimes visit some seedy websites.

It sounds like an issue that could be fixed with a firmware update, but I'm no expert.

Hello rluker5,

Thank you for your time.

I have been working on the investigation to provide you with accurate information.

Since we need more information (some of it sort of personal) we are going to keep this internally, and we are going to continue through email. If you do not like the idea you can contact Internal Support.

We can gladly check if the card is affected. We can check internally if you would like to.

Let me know how you would like to proceed.

Regards,

Sure, email sounds good to me.  I don't like posting personal information on forums anyways since I use the same username all over the place.

My A750 is in my living room pc (13600k one) right now and it's box is in the attic.

Let me know what screenshots or pics you need to check.
