Intell UHD Graphic 730 HDMI not work after Windows Update 101.5333

Hello,

I would like to report an issue with the Intel UHD Graphics driver available in Windows Update, which causes no display through the HDMI port.

In the past few days, ALL computers in our company (30 PCs) with Windows 10 22H2 inside and Intel Graphic 730 chipset have stopped displaying images through the HDMI port. We switched from HDMI to DP. DP works OK. During the analysis of the problem, it was determined that the issue is with the driver version 31.0.101.5333 from February 2024 - HDMI does not work - black screen. The driver installed automatically from Windows Update and caused problems on all machines.

Manually updating the driver to version 31.0.101.5592 (file gfx_win_101.5592.exe downloaded from https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/785597/intel-arc-iris-xe-graphics-windows.html) solves the problem, but only temporarily. Windows Update automatically replaces the driver back to the older version 101.5333!

Please help in resolving this issue.

Regards, Dawid

To prevent Windows Update from automatically downgrading to version 31.0.101.5333, you can use Microsoft's Show or Hide Updates tool to temporarily hide the problematic driver update. Here's how:
- Download the "Show or Hide Updates" troubleshooter package from Microsoft's official site.
- Run the tool and select to hide the driver update version 31.0.101.5333.
- This will prevent Windows Update from reinstalling the problematic driver automatically.

Since manually updating to version 31.0.101.5592 resolves the issue temporarily, consider creating a deployment plan to manually update all affected PCs to this version. You can use tools like Group Policy or scripts to automate this process across your organization

I suggest reporting this issue directly to Microsoft Support. They can escalate and investigate why the problematic driver version keeps getting reinstalled despite manual updates

Hope it helps
