I have been noticing that it reverts back to this specific version for some time now even if I had updated it to the latest version of the driver. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a clean installation of the driver and no matter what it just reverts back every single time I update it. I have been dealing with this with the previous installations that were also the latest at the time. I honestly don't know what do and I'd like some help with this, maybe it's just me being dumb or I did something that causes it to revert the driver the whole time.

Hi, Reinhardt.
Thank you for posting in our Community. I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you’ve already taken, and I’d be happy to assist you in resolving this issue. Regarding the update method, are you installing the latest driver via Windows Update, device manager, or your laptop manufacturer’s support page? Also, have you noticed if Windows Update is automatically rolling back the driver after installation? After updating the driver, does Device Manager still display version 32.0.101.6129, or does it initially show the updated version before reverting? When you performed a clean installation, did you use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) or another method to ensure complete removal before reinstalling? Understanding these details will help me determine whether the issue is related to Windows Update, system settings, or a potential driver conflict, allowing us to provide the most effective solution.
Additionally, I'd like to delve deeper and verify specifics like the graphics models, precise driver versions, and any system errors. Utilizing the Intel SSU tool will enable me to collect detailed information about your system setup, which could aid in identifying the underlying cause of this issue. For your privacy and security, I have already sent you an email to collect the SSU reports. Once I receive the logs, I can investigate further and provide better assistance.
Have a nice day!
Best regards,

It does display that the driver has been updated, but it then reverts back whenever the computer is shut down and I checked the clean installation checkbox that is provided by the update app( gfx tool) and from what I am aware I haven't updated it from my manufacture's update page since the lenovo vantage app seemingly don't find updates when there are. Here are detailed information regarding my pc specifications.

Hello, Reinhardt.
I appreciate your detailed response and for sharing your system specifications. It’s also helpful to know that Lenovo Vantage hasn’t been detecting available updates. To better pinpoint the cause of the rollback:
-
After the driver is updated, does Device Manager reflect the new version before it reverts upon shutdown?
-
Have you noticed if Windows Update is automatically reinstalling the older driver version?
-
When performing a clean installation, have you tried using the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely remove the previous driver before reinstalling?
I understand that you’re using a Lenovo laptop. As this is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) system, please note that our support may be limited due to potential differences in system architecture, customizations, pre-installed drivers, and proprietary features implemented by Lenovo. That said, I’m committed to doing my best to assist you with your concern. To help me better understand your setup, could you please clarify what you mean by the "Gfx Tool"?
Best regards,

The Gfx tool is the name of the graphics driver when you manually download it on your computer. The answer to your questions is yes, it does reflect the new driver version, and yes I noticed that windows update seems to try to revert it back to that specific driver that was mentioned as above, however no I did not use the Display Driver Uninstaller to completely remove the previous driver.

I am having the same issue with my laptop.
Intel IGPU Drivers are reverting to version 32.0.101.6129.
I observed that it happens when Windows notifies me that I need to update my driver.

I saw a fix on Reddit that involves messing with the registry to disable Windows updates altogether. It's a fix, but not one I'm too keen on using.

Hello, Reinhardt.
Thanks for the detailed explanation. I see you manually updated the graphics driver, and the new version is showing up, but Windows Update is still trying to revert to the previous driver. I also noticed that you haven't yet used Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to fully remove the old driver.
While pausing Windows Update can temporarily stop the issue, it’s not a permanent fix as the update will eventually reappear when other drivers are updated.
To resolve this, I recommend the following:
- Install the Latest Driver: Try installing the latest graphics driver over the one that Windows Update installed, without uninstalling the version that was previously installed by Windows Update.
If that doesn’t work, here’s a more manual approach:
- Download the correct driver for your system from the appropriate link below:
- Click Download to get the .exe file.
- Run the downloaded .exe file.
- During installation, click the Customize button on the Install screen.
- Ensure "Execute a clean installation" is not checked.
- After installation, click Optional reboot when prompted.
- Temporarily Disable Windows Updates:
- Open Settings.
- Go to Update & Security.
- Click Windows Update.
- Click Advanced options.
- Under the Pause updates section, select how long you want to disable updates.
Lastly, before starting, ensure your operating system is an official release, not a build from the Microsoft Insider Program. You will need to repeat this process after major OS updates, like moving from Windows 11 21H2 to 22H2. Let me know if the issue still remains.

It's an issue that has been happening with all driver's versions, at least with me (I have an ARC A370M).
There's a workaround that seems to work:
- Clean install latest Intel driver.
- Reboot.
- Windows Update will ask to update iGPU drivers - do it normally.
- Reboot.
- Install latest Intel driver again (do not choose clean install option)
It will work until you clean install newest Intel driver.
