I’ve been dealing with some really frustrating display issues on my Arc A750, and after trying just about everything, I’m hoping someone can shed some light or help troubleshoot further.
My setup:
GPU: Intel Arc A750
Monitor: MSI G243 (165Hz, DisplayPort)
Cable: DisplayPort 1.4 certified
Driver: Latest Arc graphics driver
What’s happening:
1. At lower refresh rates like 60Hz or 75Hz, the screen flickers badly.
2. At 165Hz, flickering stops — but there’s always a thin horizontal line at the top of the display.
3. I'm also noticing input lag and sluggishness even when running at 165Hz.
4. The flickering even shows up during reboots or when changing refresh rates in Windows.
What I’ve tried so far:
1. Initially did a normal driver install, issue appeared right away.
2. Used DDU to fully clean and reinstall drivers, but the issue still persists.
3. Disabled Adaptive Sync, V-Sync, Overdrive, and every variable refresh option — no change.
4. Tried multiple DisplayPort cables, all certified, and even had the monitor and GPU checked — no hardware faults.
5. Reset monitor settings to factory defaults, still the same.
This never happened on my previous GPU driver but when I used to a previous driver, same issue arose, so I’m pretty confident it’s something driver- or firmware-related with Arc. I really want to keep using this card — performance is solid, and I love what Intel’s doing here — but this issue is affecting day-to-day usability.
If you need any logs, system info, or screen recordings, I’m more than happy to help.
Thanks in advance!

Hello Zayed1,
Thank you for reaching out with your display issues on the Intel Arc A750. It sounds like you've been thorough in your troubleshooting efforts, and I appreciate the detailed information you've provided. Let's work together to identify potential solutions.
Please answer the following questions:
- What games/ applications did you encounter the error from?
- What is the current graphics driver that you are currently using?
- Was this problem occurring before or this just happened now?
- Were there other recent changes made to the system before the issue arose?
- What is the specific make and model of your Intel Arc A750? What Manufacturer? (Gunnir, Sparkle, etc)
- Please take a picture/video of the straight line.
- What was the previous GPU driver that was fault free?
To assist us in analyzing the details of your system and addressing the issue effectively, we kindly ask you to generate a System Support Utility (SSU) report. This report will provide us with comprehensive information about your system's configuration, helping us identify any potential incompatibilities or issues.
To generate the SSU report, please refer to the article: How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*.
I look forward to your response!
