Hi everyone, Last week I tried to replay Batman: Arkham City on Steam, but I’ve been running into performance issues. Whenever the cutscenes start, they lag heavily and the framerate drops to around 10–14 fps.
I attempted to fix it by installing NVIDIA PhysX and replacing some game files, but unfortunately that didn’t solve the problem.
System specifications:
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M DS3H AC R2
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
GPU: Intel Arc B580
RAM: HyperX 16GB (2×8GB) 2400MHz
PSU: Corsair CX Series CX750 (750W, 80 Plus Bronze)
Storage: Toshiba 3TB HDD (no SSD)

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. I appreciate your message, and I want to assure you that I’m here to help you resolve this issue. To better understand the situation and provide the most accurate support, could you please provide the following information:
- Are the lag issues occurring only during cutscenes, or do they appear during regular gameplay as well?
- Have you already tried verifying the integrity of the game files through Steam?
- What in‑game graphics settings are you currently using? If possible, please include screenshots so we can review them.
- What are your CPU and GPU usage levels during the cutscene lag spikes?
- Did this problem begin immediately after installing the game, or did it develop gradually over time?
- Are there any background applications running that might be consuming system resources?
- Have you attempted using different compatibility modes or adding specific launch parameters for the game?
- Is your RAM operating at the correct speed (2400 MHz) and in a dual‑channel configuration?
- What are your system temperatures while gaming?
Additionally, to help us better understand your system configuration and ensure we provide the most accurate troubleshooting steps, we kindly ask that you share the Intel® System Support Utility (SSU) report from your device. This report includes detailed information about your hardware and software environment, which is essential for diagnosing the issue effectively.
Please follow these steps:
