Problem with latest driver and Lightroom

Hello!

Latest driver 32.0.101.6127 WHQL and 32.0.101.6044 Non-WHQL seems to have a problem when working with Lightroom. Editing photos takes much longer when doing adjustments, with "GPU processing..." icon appearing when it didn't before. Also, when syncing adjustments between photos GPU is used way less than with other drivers.

The only solution is to rollback to the latest working version 32.0.101.6078 WHQL

I have a HP ENVY 16 with Iris Xe and ARC 370M with a Intel 12th Gen i7. I don't know if the problem resides in the fact that this driver also includes graphics drivers for the Built-in Intel® Arc™ GPUs with select Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 2 Processors, when installed in a non Core Ultra Series.

Thank you!

Hi, Fraciscomnunes,

My colleague Jean is out of the office today; therefore, in the meantime, I will be handling your case.

Thank you for patiently waiting. We have tried to simulate the issue being encountered. However, with the use of the mentioned graphic drivers, we have been unsuccessful in replicating it.

I would like to confirm if the software that you are using is configured with the settings shown below. Please note that we simulated the issue using these settings:

Lastly, please try to reinstall Adobe Lightroom. If the issue persists, please let us know immediately.

Hi JohnM,

Here's my system info.

Captura de ecrã 2025-01-21 102536.png

I'm using a 370M dGPU with the latest graphics driver available (as suggested by Adobe). I've not tried all drivers but as I mentioned in the posts before, latest driver where the issue was absent for me was version 32.0.101.6078. Rolling back to a previous driver version seems to be a strange solution at least.

I've reinstalled Lightroom as you suggested but the issue persists.

I send you another screen recording where you can see that the adjustments have a slight delay to be applied but after a few seconds editing gets smoother. Every image edition goes with this behavior.

I tried the same image with Adobe Camera Raw and it goes smoothly acceptable, so the issue must be with Lightroom itself. And no, editing with Camera Raw is not an option now.

Thank you for your time,

Francisco

Hi, Fraciscomnunes,

Thank you for the information that you tried using Adobe Camera Raw, and it helps us to narrow down the issue, but for us to investigate the issue more about Adobe Lightroom. I need to coordinate this with the team to simulate this issue if there's a problem with the lightroom.

Just give us 2-3 days to simulate this concern for us to give you the best support to resolve this issue.

Hi, Fraciscomnunes,

I have received an update from the team. We did replicate the steps you did, but we didn't encounter the errors that you encountered; it would be best to seek help with Adobe regarding the issue with the Lightroom application.

Thank you so much for your time and cooperation. We really appreciate it. Have a great day!

Best regards,

Hi John M,

Thank you for your response.

That's strange because the issue only appeared when I updated the drivers, before it was working normally, so it must have been due to the new driver. Anyways.

Thank you.

Hi John M.,

Don't know what changes your team did in the latest driver version, but the issue is gone with driver  32.0.101.6734 WHQL.

Just let it stay this way now 🙌

Thank you

Francisco
