Scattered Green Blotchy Video Feed Issues Since ~Nov. 2024

Hello Intel - There is an issue going around with a mix of Microsoft Teams and Intel related drivers. We are experiencing it in our environment, and use HP Elitebook 840 series devices. We haven't looked into if it's mostly Ultra 7 series devices, or 5 series as well. It seems to be sporadic, some days better, somedays worse. This started to happen around Nov 2024, potentially after a certain Intel graphics driver update (ver 32.0.101.5763) and all future updates for the same devices continue to have the same behavior.

Please see the Microsoft community link below.

Maybe Intel, MS, and OEM manufacturers can come together on this one.

Thank you

Hello J-Kray,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities! I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing with the scattered green, blotchy feeds. I understand that it seems to occur intermittently, with some days being better than others.

To assist you further, could you please provide the following details:

  1. What is the current working driver version installed on your system?
  2. What operating system are you using?
  3. Does this issue only occur with the New Teams version, or does it also happen with Classic Teams and Teams in the browser?

This will help us narrow down the cause and find a solution more efficiently.

Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Best regards,

Hello Ariel -

1. Last known stable version was ver 32.0.101.5763

2. Windows 11 24h2

3. Only New Teams, Web and Classic appear okay.

Thank you

Hello J-Kray,

Thank you for answering my questions. It's good to hear that the issue only occurs with the New Teams which is isolated.

Upon checking, I noticed that you are using a HP Elitebook 840. Have you tried using the drivers offered from your laptop's manufacturer, HP? Also, have you performed a clean installation for the graphics drivers? If not, I have attached the link below for you to follow. See link: Clean Installation of Intel® Graphics Drivers in Windows*

Let me know if this resolves the issue. Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Thank you.

Hello Ariel - I can confirm the direct Intel install has resolved the issue vs. using manufacturer provided Intel drivers. Thank you.

Hello J-Kray,

That's great to hear! I'm glad the issue was resolved by directly installing the Intel drivers. With that, I will go ahead and close this inquiry. If you need any further assistance, please feel free to submit a new question, as this thread will no longer be monitored.

definitely not solved for many of us sadly.  On Dell Latitude 7350 laptop, still see green fragments on Teams and website videos etc.  Here is another thread on MS that we have been monitoring and trying different fixes.  https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/green-artifacts-when-viewing-shared-screens-in/ebfd0d41-5186-4937-b55f-70f2419d5ecc?page=1

Correct, These Intel drivers are still causing Green Artificing in Teams and other video players on Lenovo Intel T14 gen 3-5.
