I want to purchase a desktop for office kind of tasks and now choosing between system on AMD Ryzen 2200G and Intel i3-8100. So this isn't what I have but something I'm planning to 😃 But in order to embody my plans I have to choose between these two systems. I won't game or do any kind of graphic intensive stuff on that machine but hope to add smoothness to my interface with high refresh rate monitor.

I knew that AMD APU is capable of 2560x1440 at 144Hz but couldn't find any information about iGPU of i3-8100 which is UHD 630.

So to answer your question about hardware I'm using let it be:

1) CPU - i3-8100

2) MB - Asus Prime B360-plus (I hope to output 144Hz from it DVI-D output)

3) Monitor - MSI Optix MAG27CQ

But I can't "run the Intel® System Support Utility" since I don't have that hardware atm.

Thank you for your response.Based on the hardware you are planning on using, you may not achieve 2560x1440 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate due to a motherboard limitation.First, I would like to confirm that Intel® UHD Graphics 630 supports the resolution you would like to achieve. For example, it supports 4096x2304@24Hz via HDMI* 1.4. However, according to your motherboard specifications, the maximum resolution you can set via DVI-D is 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz and 4096 x 2160 @ 24 Hz / 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz via HDMI* 1.4b. Thanks for very good information regarding Intel® UHD Graphics 630 inclining to jump on this thread for help on this graphics interface on Dell XPS-8930 Tower PC with below details.

     Processor: Intel® Core i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz

     Display Adapter: Intel® UHD Graphics 630 (27.20.100.8854)

     Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (10.0.19044 Build 19044)

I have connected 3 Lenovo ThinkVision P24h-10 monitors using Display Port connection from the PC to 1st monitor and then daisy chain from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd monitor. the first two monitors show 2560 x 1440 resolution, but the 3rd monitor shows 1920 x 1080 resolution.

How can I get 2560 x 1440 resolution on the 3rd monitor also?
