Uhd750 doesn't work on my monitor

hi

The refresh rate of 1920 * 1080 120P can be seen in the display information support mode, but it cannot be selected in the display refresh rate. At the same time, uhd750 is not suitable for my current display. It can only reach the refresh rate of 60p in the state of 1280 * 720. My monitor is Acer ed242qr-a

1. It can support 1920 * 1080 120Hz under 8400 and 10400 CPU, the same motherboard, HDMI line and display

2. 1920 * 1080 60Hz on Xiaomi 4x TV (TV only supports 60Hz). In the same brand Acer 27 inch game model, it can 1920 * 1080, 120 and 144 in the same motherboard, HDMI and display state, but I can't use it at present

3. The current monitor has tried that Xbox s can run 1920 * 1080 60Hz. I've also tried other hosts that can run 144hz

4. Since the 11th generation CPU has been sold to the present, i been instrall all versions of the core display driver, which can not solve the problem

I hope you can help me solve this problem as soon as possible, thank you

What do you mean when you said "It can support 1920 * 1080 120Hz under 8400 and 10400 CPU, the same motherboard, HDMI line and display"...

The motherboard model in the report MSI B560M BOMBER doesn't support 8th CPUs so no way you can test the same motherboard with an 8th and 11th gen CPU...

And when you say "In the same brand Acer 27 inch game model, it can 1920 * 1080, 120 and 144 in the same motherboard, HDMI and display state, but I can't use it at present"... do you mean other display could reach 120 and 144Hz with the UHD 750?

First thing you need to do is to test with different cables... it "doesn't matter" if they work with other displays/computers... it is very common that cables may come with bad quality and present issues with some displays computers... you may find many evidence about this in this and other forums... myself included...

hi
Thank u to reply my post
I mean when I use b360m with 8400,it can reach 120hz. The same hdmi cable(cable 1)/monitor.and I use b560m with 10400.also can reach 120hz same hdmi cable(cable 1)/monitor. So I think my monitor isn’t the problem

And I’ve tried Xbox s original hdmi cable(cable 2). Also can’t reach 120hz. So i think hdmi cable is also not a problem. more like hard drive issues

And I test other monitor like 27 inch acer can reach 120hz at b560 with 11500 with my hdmi cable (cable 1) .

Thanks again

HI

LOL,my problem may have been solved

After I confirmed that there was no problem with my monitor, because it could be read in Intel's official SSU that the display could correctly identify 1920 * 1080p 120Hz, I began to read how to overclock on the network. After I downloaded the custom resolution utility and overclocked the display to 144hz, I could set the 120Hz refresh rate in the display settings

so I'm pretty sure the problem is with the driver

thanks again

hi alx24

u mean my hdmi cable is hdmi 1.4. but hdmi 1.4 aslo can use 1920*1080p 120hz

and i overfrequency the monitor temporary solve the problem, but I wonder why I can't use it directly without overfrequency

thaks again

It can be noted that the characteristics of the Intel Graphics emphasize the maximum resolution and quantity
monitors, increasing Bits per Pixel (BPP) 24 to 36 not maximum frequencies. Not so long ago, there was a transition to 4K and 8K in TV. "Max TMDS Clock Rate: MHz" very often accompanies problematic displays. The frequency of 120 Hz can be reached in the Dual-Link DVI (special cable) that is in your display that is quite a significant plus in relation to the high frequency over the HDMI channel.

Windows:

Settings -> Display -> Blue Link "Advanced Display Settings" -> Blue Link "Display Adapter Properties for Display N" -> Button "List All Modes".

Sheets "Adapter", "Monitor".

Always simplest test by reloading in "Safe Mode" which uses Microsoft Corp. "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". ( 64 Hz )

There is Display Driver for this Display on display manufacturer site.

It is very likely that 1280x720 at 60 Hz is taken in EDID from "Standard Display Modes" and "Detailed Timing Descriptor" is not accepted.

There is no compatible tested gaming displays HD, 5K.

There is a possibility that this latest driver has not been tested at high V frequencies.

"Same motherboard" means that the performances of 2 channel memory are sufficient.

There is "Intel Graphics Control Center" (IGCC) "Display".

"B560M BOMBER" has only HDMI video digital output.

Xbox uses AMD Graphics.

In the display EDID there is standard resolution 1920x1080 at 60 Hz but it's not even accepted.

For 120Hz "Pixel Clock: 286MHz" ("Bit-Depth" = "8-bit"). If "HDR" is enabled, then in Windows 11 Intel Core 11th Generation Processor Xe Graphics "Bit-Depth" = "10-bit" and "Pixel Clock" exceeds 297 MHz, which is the limit of Intel Corp. for HDMI 1.4 and this graphic mode will not be set and displayed.

It is worth noting that the resolution of 1920x1080 at 120 Hz has the same video data rate through the interface as at 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz), which is very easily implemented in processors starting with Intel Core 4th Generation and with Intel HD Graphics 4xx. Such performances had even a very old interface Dual-Link DVI.

The next stage of a very significant increase in graphics performances falls on Intel Core 11th Generation Processors.
