I have a UltraWide LG Monitor (26W0500), and when connected to my new Inspiron 15 laptop, with Iris Xe Graphics, the ultrawide resolutions are not available. I'm only able to use with a smaller resolution, that leaves two black bars of unused monitor space or a distorted imagem. I was able to use this monitor with my older laptop, but not with this one. I connection my monitor with a HDMI cable.
These are my configuration. I've also attached a .txt file with detailed information, generated by yout Intel Support utility.
Dell Inspiron 15
Processor:"12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1255U , GenuineIntel"
System Manufacturer:"Dell Inc."
System Model:"Inspiron 15 3520"
Display: "Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics"

Inspiron 15 3520 - Setup and Specifications
Does your device only have an HDMI output or also a USB Type-C port?
LG UltraWide 26WQ500
2560 x 1080 @ 75 Hz
2 x HDMI
Please create a Report for Intel Graphics Drivers and attach the output file here.

My device has only a HDMI connection and common USB connections (Not USB Type-C).
I attached the requested file.

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the problem on my Iris Xe. If I simulate your monitor using the diagnostic data, I can also set the mode to 2560 x 1080 @ 75 Hz.
The receiving device also confirms that a connection has been established:
Please ask Dell Support what the HDMI port on your device can actually do. It seems more common for HDMI ports on laptops to only support the resolutions defined by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) for TVs. 2560 x 1080 is not one of them.

Dell has removed the support for ultra wide resolutions (HDMI port) from device driver at certain moment in 2022.
However I could find two options to achieve UW resolutions:
- Downgrade driver version - if I'm not wrong they removed the support from 30.0.101.1928 version. I could find the 30.0.101.1692 version. It's available in Dell support website.
- Use Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) to adjust HDMI output. This is an EDID editor that focuses on custom resolutions. CRU shows you how the monitor defines resolutions and other capabilities and gives you the power to change it (no changes in current driver). It's a old application and it's seems to be reliable.
I've opted to downgrade the device driver. Check my post in other thread:

My Dell (Inspiron 15 3530) is equipped with a Intel UHD Graphics P750 (the same driver for Xe) and a HDMI 1.4 port. No DP port... 😞
I've got both 2560x1440 (it's 16x9!!) and 3440x1440 - 60Hz using HDMI 1.4 ... There is no option for 2560x1080 in the driver. If you want this one, CRU could be the alternative.
