Last update; Intel® Graphics Driver 30.0.101.1660 cause start-up problems laptop. Windows 11, 11th gen. Both screens stay black.  Only hard reset helps with second screen disconnected. Connecting second screen after start-up is no problem. Tried reinstall, deleted drivers, upgrade monitor (sams Odysee 27") replayed cable, updated windows 11. Nothing helps. Anyone with a helpfull tip?

Hello HBO70,

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.

To have a better understanding of your issue, please provide me with the following:

  • You mentioned that you reinstalled and deleted drivers. Does it mean that the issue persists after you tried reinstalling the driver 30.0.101.1660?
  • Was there any other hardware or software change besides the driver update?
  • When you do a hard reset as a workaround for your issue, do you experience any other type of display errors?
  • Create a report using the Intel®️ System Support Utility (Intel®️ SSU)

Hello Jean.

You mentioned that you reinstalled and deleted drivers.

Does it mean that the issue persists after you tried reinstalling the driver 30.0.101.1660?

Yes, Laptopscreen is black en 2nd screen goes to sleep

Was there any other hardware or software change besides the driver update?

Apple, icloud, etc.

When you do a hard reset as a workaround for your issue, do you experience any other type of display errors?

No

Create a report using the Intel System Support Utility (Intel SSU)

I already send a report. I wil send both old and new

When i do a restart FireFox won’t start. “there is already a version running, you need to close old to proceed” probably because of hard reset

Hello HBO70,

Thanks for your response. The information provided has been helpful.

I was looking for your laptop model provided by the Intel® SSU; however, I didn't find any information related to the product. The report shows that the system is TIMI TM2029-31473. Can you provide me with the website of the system manufacturer?

Since you mentioned that the issue persists after uninstalling the driver, it doesn't seem that the problem is related to this specific driver version. I want to suggest performing a clean instalation for our latest driver (30.0.101.1660).

 1. Download the latest DCH drivers and save them on the computer: (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19344/intel-graphics-windows-dch-drivers.html)

2. Disconnect from the Internet so no new drivers are automatically installed by Windows Update.

3. Uninstall the driver and the Intel Graphics Command Center and driver from Apps and Features.

4. Restart the computer.

5. Confirm in Device Manager > Video Adapters that the controller is listed as 'Microsoft Basic Display Adapter' > if not, repeat steps 2 through 4.

6. If the adapter continues to be listed as ‘Intel HD Graphics’ or similar, and no other Intel Graphics driver is listed under 'Apps and Features' for removal, then it means Windows has switched to a previously installed Legacy driver. At this point we can remove Legacy drivers from Device Manager:

1. Right-click on 'Intel HD Graphics' or similar, and select 'Uninstall Device'

2. In the pop-up window make sure 'Delete the driver software for this device' is checked.

3. Click on 'Uninstall'.

4. Restart. (Repeat steps 6.1.1 through 6.1.4 until the device gets listed as 'Microsoft Basic Display Adapter')

7. Install the DCH drivers that were downloaded in step 1 Restart the computer.

Reconnect to the Internet.
