Wifi 5100 AGN with Vista does not go faster than 54MPS

If have tried it all, drivers (i have the most recent), settings, parameters, but my 5100 AGN in my Sony VGN-NS21Z under Vista does not go faster than 54MPS, whereas any other (USB) wireless device works fine at higher speed connected to an n-router

enable security WPA2-PSK AES and enable QoS on your router configuration

and also it cannot be reach after small jar. wireless hardware gets lost...?(sony vgn-z11mn)
