Will there be a Directx12 ultimate for Intel UHD 630 or any inbuilt graphics card

will Intel release a driver for enabling Dx12 ultimate support  for its exsisting integrated GPUS like UHD 630 etc

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.   

 

In regards to DirectX 12 Ultimate, just to clarify; this is not a new API, but rather the new branding of "DirectX feature level 12_2" or "DirectX 12.2". This is the feature set that wraps up several features that Microsoft and its partners have been working on over the past few years which include:  

 

  • DirectX Raytracing  
  • Variable Rate Shading 
  • Mesh Shaders 
  • Sampler Feedback

In order to claim DirectX 12 Ultimate compatibility all of the 4 key features previously mentioned have to be supported in software and hardware. None of the Intel® platforms released in 2020 or earlier (Tiger Lake or older) support all 4 key features, therefore are not compatible with DirectX 12 Ultimate. And as mentioned, we cannot comment on unannounced features or future plans for existing products.
