Win7 x64 - HD Graphics driver update causes login popup questions

Hi all, I've a system with a Core i3 540 (without a discrete graphics card) running Win7 x64 all patched up. Occasionally I've updated the Intel HD graphics drivers, without any previous problems until now.

According to the download centre, the latest is 15.22.1.64.2361 (dated 5/6/2011 according to the download centre page and 04/13/2011 according to the download details page), which I installed using an administrator account. After I installed this update, whenever any user (with admin rights or not) logs in, they get a popup with the question "Do you want to run this file?" for each of the files:

C:\Windows\System32\igfxtray.exe

C:\Windows\System32\hkcmd.exe

C:\Windows\System32\igfxpers.exe

Turning off the option in the popup to not ask this question again makes no difference.

Anyone any idea what is wrong?

I gave up - I was fed up with the Intel HD driver crashes when my kids played Sims3 even more than my inability to update it.

My solution was simple - I bought an AMD HD 6670 card.

Intel 0 - AMD 1!
