X4 Foundations - Game dumps out & graphical glitches on A770

Hi. I've got an AsRock A770 Phantom Gaming D OC 8GB card, and I've been having issues with X4 Foundations (currently on game version 7.00).

I am running graphics driver version 31.0.101.5590, and am having graphical glitches and game crashes (no warnings, just a dump to desktop). Anecdotally, the game crashed more often on previous driver versions.

Could this be investigated for a future driver patch? Please let me know if I can supply any more information.

Hi Userfriendly,

Thank you for creating a thread in Intel Communities.

We know how unexciting it is to experience random crashes when playing a certain game.

Please allow us to ask the following information, that we will use to see what suggestions would be best to address your concern:

1. It would really help us if we can get more information about your system. Please download and run our Intel® System Support Utility from this page, https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18377/intel-system-support-utility-for-windows.html. To run it, please press "Scan". After the scan is finished, click next and there will be a save button, giving you an option to save the logs to a text file, please do so and attach the file on your reply. You can refer to How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows* https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057926/memory-and-storage.html for instructions.

2. Have you tried updating to the latest driver, 31.0.101.5592?

3. If you are comfortable modifying Windows registry, please apply the procedures listed on this page, under the “Crashing/ Freezing issues/ BSOD”.

We will wait for your response.

Hello Alfred S,

I have updated to 31.0.101.5592 and have attached the SSU output.

I'll see how things go with the latest drivers.

I would only edit my registry as a last resort.

Hi Userfriendly,

We need to close this thread since we have not gotten a response from you: maybe because you are busy or preoccupied at the moment. We know that this is important for you to get it resolved and it is also equally important for us to give you the right solution; as much as we would like to assist you, we need to close it to attend to other customers.

If you experience the issue still after the latest driver, please reach out to game developer for further support.

We hope for your consideration and understanding on this one.

If you need any additional information, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer being monitored.

Thank you for contacting Intel® and have a great week!
