I just found this on the asus site, which seem very much like your issue:

So, the only thing left for you to do is to check the device manager, display adapters.  If you have only one, then you have only nvidia.  If you have two, tell me about it and take a screen shot.

There is no intel "video card"  the intel graphics are part of the processor.  On various machines, you can have Intel graphics, other (nvidia) graphics, or both.  This is controlled by the bios.

So, yes, all the machines with this processor are going to have integrated graphics.  On some laptops, for better performance, the manufacturer will add other (nvidia) graphics.  They may or may not allow the Intel graphics to co-exist.

Now, if you want to use Intel graphics, how would you do so on this laptop?  Where would you plug in (what port) the monitor?

Do you have an external monitor connected now, and is it working?

When you can, try it again to be sure it still works.

Also, let me know what the device manager says.

You may want to post on that asus link I provided since it is the same as your laptop model.

But, under display adapters, how many adapters do you see?

On my machine, for example, I see this:

My suggestion is to connect with the users on the asus forum:

No problem.  Send me a screen shot of the device manager display adapters.

also, do you have any entries under "other devices" in the device manager?

That is not showing any problem.  It says you have only one adapter (nvidia).

And, since there appears to be no bios setting to allow both, it looks like the nvidia adapter is all you have.

At this point, only asus can help.  I think the users on the asus forum would be able to answer this.

Sorry I could not help more.
