foi solicitada uma atualização para meu driver de vídeo, mas deu um erro e no próprio site da intel disse que era um conflito de drivers e mandou que eu desinstalasse o atual driver para que pudesse atualizar

Please download and run the Intel System Support Utility for Windows and save the report to a file. Then, using the paperclip icon below the edit window, upload and attach this file to a response post.

  • If that is the case, does the system show any error message when installing the driver? If yes, can you please provide a screenshot of the error?
  • Have you tried installing also the drivers provided by Samsung (OEM)?

You might have to uninstall the previous version of your graphics driver before you can install the latest version. Use this process:

  1. Download the latest graphics driver package. Here is link to download page: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29557/Intel-Graphics-Windows-10-DCH-Drivers.
  2. Disconnect your system from the Internet. Unplug Ethernet cable and/or disable wireless.
  3. Using the Apps & Features applet, uninstall the Intel Graphics Driver package.
  4. Reboot, keeping Internet disconnected.
  5. In the Device Manager app, expand the Display Adapters section.
  6. If the only graphics adapter present is the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter (i.e. no Intel Graphics Adapter), go to Step 9.
  7. Right-click on the entry for the Intel graphics adapter and select Uninstall device. Place checkmark beside the Delete the driver software for this device question and then click on the Uninstall button.
  8. Go back to Step 4.
  9. Install the driver package you downloaded in Step 1 (or previous).
  10. Reboot.
  11. Reconnect Internet.
  12. Test.

Hope this helps,

Hhmm, this is really odd... It is almost like a file is locked and cannot be written...🙈

Ok, experiment time. On the DCH driver download page (link I gave previously), there is a section marked Other Versions.

  1. Please download and attempt to install version 26.20.100.6709.
  2. If that succeeds, download and attempt to install version 26.20.100.7212.
  3. If that succeeds, download and attempt to install version 26.20.100.7985.
  4. If that succeeds, go back and again try to install 27.20.100.8190.

If it fails at any point, stop right there and let us know where is failed and whether the error was the same or different.

Hope this helps,

@Bryce@Intel, does this make any sense to you? Why would the SO be able to install any of the previous "locked" versions but none of the new "unlocked" versions? Are there any log files that the SO could post that would help debug this?

Hello EHenr8,

I hope you are doing fine.

Just to clarify, new Intel® unlocked drivers will not install over a non-DCH (legacy) driver.

I would like to confirm the current driver version installed on your system. Is it the 26.20.100.7985 version? Please provide the DXDIAG report:

  • Go to Start > Run or Windows Key + R.
  • On the Run prompt, type "dxdiag" then click OK.
  • On the DirectX Diagnostic Tool window, click on Save All Information.
  • Browse to a folder, type in a filename then click Save.

If you have the 26.20.100.7985 version installed, and you try to install the latest 27.20.100.8190 version over this current version, doing a manual installation without going back to the "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter", does it still show the same error?
