how to install Intel 945GM Express GPU for linux mint (Ubuntu)

Hi, I've been trying to find a way to install a linux version for this chipset for quite some time. I own a tecra M7 laptop and I'd really like to get this chipset up and running to it's fullest potential. any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I just want to let you know that Intel does not provide direct downloads and technical support for Linux drivers. The Intel Graphics Linux driver is primarily supported through the OEM, the Linux distribution vendor, or by the Intel Open Source Technology Center at https://01.org/linuxgraphics https://01.org/linuxgraphics. I recommend the Linux Mint forum support; https://forums.linuxmint.com/ https://forums.linuxmint.com/, since this is the right place to get more feedback from peers on this matter.
