i7 2600 DH67BL dual monitor with HDMI to DVI cable

DVI to DVI works OK (1920X1080), but the monitor (1024X1280) on the HDMI to DVI cable gets detected as Default Monitor VGA only and while the two monitors work OK up until the Windows flash screen, the monitor on the HDMI to DVI cable loses signal at that point (two screens continue to work right through in protected mode).

Running Win 7 64bit, Driver 8.15.10.2321

Any suggestions?

Problem solved - dodgy HDMI socket by looks of things.

Really a hardware fault? Alot of folks on here have had issues with 2321 and using HDMI , myself included.

Yes working fine - just needed the cable to be seated properly in the socket, unless this was done it was only recognising that monitor as basic VGA.
