intel graphic driver and java 8 problem

good evening, just recently I wanted to play old versions of Minecraft, so to speak, to remember the past, I thought that this should not cause any problems, since my old laptop coped with this task with ease, but having tried to launch Minecraft now, on my new laptop, I encountered the following problem: instead of correctly displaying the graphics, everything merges into one solid color, which changes depending on the rotation of the screen, it seems to me that this error is related to Java 8 version, since when I tried to run Minecraft on the Java version JDK 21, I did not experience this problem , my laptop uses 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1255U 1.70 GHz with intel® iris® xe graphics with driver version 31.0.101.4255, on reddit I found one discussion thread where to solve this problem it was suggested to roll back to an older version of the driver, but I’m not as interested in this as I am in you looking at why this is happening and perhaps paying attention to this and solving the problem without using older versions of drivers, thank you

artemii, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

We are sorry to hear about this issue and we will be more than glad to assist you with this matter.

In order for us to answer your inquiry and provide the most accurate assistance on this scenario, we just wanted to confirm a few details about your system:

When did you purchase the laptop?

Did the game Minecraft ever work fine on your new laptop?

If yes, when did the issue start?

Did you make any recent hardware/software changes that might cause this problem?

Does the problem happen at home or in the work environment?

Please attach the SSU report so we can verify further details about the components in your platform, check all the options in the report including the one that says "3rd party software logs":

yes. i just needed some time.

my laptop was purchased this fall, before that I used a PC that used an expensive video card, minecraft works properly only in cases where the game version uses the java zhdk version, if java 8 is used, then the described problem occurs, the problem started immediately after purchases, I did not install any drivers or change the hardware in any way, the problem does not depend on the environment

attached 123.txt ssu report

artemii, Thank you very much for providing that information and the SSU report.

Based on the information shown in the SSU document, we can confirm that the graphics driver version currently installed on your computer is 31.0.101.4575.

For this scenario, it is important to mention, that we always recommend to install the graphics driver provided by the manufacturer of the computer, since that driver was customized by them to work with your specific platform.

I looked on ASUS website and the graphics driver they have available is version V31.0.101.3889, but for Windows* 11:

https://www.asus.com/laptops/for-home/vivobook/vivobook-15-oled-x1505/helpdesk_download?model2Name=Vivobook-15-OLED-X1505

For testing purposes, please try a clean installation of our Intel® graphics driver version 31.0.101.4952:

Here you will find additional troubleshooting steps to attempt in order to try to fix this problem:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000030981/graphics.html

We also recommend to get in contact directly with ASUS Support to confirm that the latest BIOS version is currently installed in your machine or, if necessary, to gather the instructions on how to update it:

Once you get the chance, please let us know the results.
