Hey, Intel

I would like to know if there have been any new developments regarding this topic, as I am having the same problem as discussed in these two threads.

Hello Asuna53,

Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

We are aware of the situation and it is currently working on a solution for the black stripes while playing Rayman Legends using Iris® Xe Graphics. While I check for any updates from our end, I saw that the current graphics driver installed in your system from the submitted Intel SSU scan is version 31.0.101.4955. Were you able to try the latest version 31.0.101.5330? If not, please download and update from the link below:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/785597/intel-arc-iris-xe-graphics-windows.html

Also, please consider executing a clean installation as well:

  1. Click the .exe to initiate the driver installation.
  2. Agree to the Intel Software License Agreement.
  3. Click the checkbox to Execute a clean installation. Please note a clean installation removes all old drivers and restores Intel settings to the default value
  4. Click Start to begin the install.
  5. Reboot the system if prompted.

For more details on how to perform a graphics clean installation, you can check this link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057389/graphics.html

If the issue persists, please send us the latest SSU scan for further analysis. Additionally, it would be helpful if you could use the latest OEM driver as well, to help us identify the source of the problem. Hello Jay B,

I wanted to let you know that I followed your suggestion and updated the driver, but it did not really solve the issue. I also need some assistance with understanding what you meant by OEM drivers. When I clicked on the provided link, I was presented with multiple options to download, and I couldn't figure out which one was the correct OEM driver.

I have attached some images of the website from the second link, a picture of Rayman Legends, which is still not working, and the new SSU scan.

Hello Asuna53,

Since this is an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) device, please take into consideration that our support may be limited since we are not familiar with the technology, settings, customizations, custom drivers, and features that the OEM has designed and installed your system. Intel® only supplies generic versions of Graphics Drivers for general purposes. Computer manufacturers might have changed the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to the driver software or software packaging.

For the reason that executing clean installation of the graphics driver version 31.0.101.5330 was not able to address the issue, please install the latest graphics driver from ASUS via DDU as we do recommend using the graphics driver developed by system manufacturers over Intel's generic driver to avoid driver/software incompatibilities.

Please follow the steps on our article How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000091878/graphics.html

After uninstalling the graphics driver via DDU, install the Intel Graphics Driver Version V31.0.101.4255 from the link below. We understand that it is an outdated version, but it is important to use the latest version(currently) available from their website for now.

Please let us know the results as soon as you are able, so that I can raise your case for further investigation. Thank you.

Best regards,

Jay B.

Hi Asuna53,

I apologize for any inconvenience that this might have caused you. I just wanted to confirm if you are still having the same issue even if you were able to install the latest driver from ASUS?

Best regards,
