ARC 770 criminially underutilized in older MMO Everquest.

In WOW i'll see over 80% constant gpu utilization with my ARC 770 16bg, but in another older MMO named Everquest it never seems to go above 10%.   Any chance of looking at old titles like that for optimization?

It's quite common for older games like Everquest to not fully utilize modern hardware like the ARC 770 16GB GPU. This is often due to the fact that older games were designed for the hardware available at the time of their release and may not be optimized to take advantage of the more powerful capabilities of newer GPUs.

Have you tried updating the latest driver (31.0.101.5379) for Intel Arc A770 graphics? As updates often include performance improvements and bug fixes. What is the actual FPS behavior you are experiencing?

Hi hi, sorry it's been hectic.   I am checking back after trying both 5379 & 5382.     The issue I am experiencing is only in a particular expansion of the game.   I am going to chock it up as poor optimization on the games behalf.    I ran through a lot of zones in older expansions and didn't have this particular issue where my FPS bottoms out to under 20FPS just looking at the terrain.

I also tried on EQ live servers in the busiest area and it responded as expected.    It's just a couple of zones in that particular expansion and it's a shame, you spend a lot of time there.    It's probably a moot point now because I think i'm done with the game.   I might check out the new TLP coming in May, we'll have to see.

On this specific topic of Everquest; can you recommend or provide any specific tips that might improve or help performance the average user might be unaware of? I have the Intel Arc A770 16GB and I primarly play Everquest.
