I play competitive fighting games and my main game is Guilty Gear strive. This game is around 5 years old and can run on most things at 1080p 60 fps (which is the highest fps possible for fighting games), but I find my B580 has very poor 1% and 0.1% lows at 1080p. For reference, my gtx 1060 that this is replacing gets average 1% lows of 59 fps, my B580 however gets average 1% lows of around 46 fps, which is comparatively unplayable for such a competitive title.
I just installed the card using DDU, the latest drivers and reBAR enabled.
My system specs are
- CPU: Intel i5 12600k
- Motherboard: Gigabyte z690 Gaming x ddr4
- Memory: 32 Gigabytes 3600 MT/s
- Windows 11 Version 23H2 Latest update
- Intel ARC B580 Limited Edition

Hi Ryanp213,
After conducting a performance analysis of the game on two different system configurations, I would like to share the findings and recommendations with you.
System Configuration and Performance:
- Initial Setup: Core i5-14400, B580, Windows 11 24H2, latest driver 101.6559.
- Performance: Solid 60 FPS with a 1% low average of 49.9 (1080p, best presets, vSync on).
- After GPU Swap: RTX 4060.
- Performance: 1% low average of 53.
Observations:
- The 6% performance difference with the RTX 4060 is within expected performance margins.
- Further optimization in the short term is unlikely.
Recommendations:
- Close third-party and non-essential applications when running the game to improve performance.
- Set Windows power plan to 'Best performance'.
Attached, you will find the CapframeX data of the comparison for your reference.
Best regards,
Dean R.

Hi Ryanp213,
Thank you for sharing the game settings and CapFrameX data. To further investigate the issue, could you please provide the following information:
- Which digital distribution service are you using to play Path of Exile 2 (Steam or Epic)?
- Could you share the full game settings you are using?
- Is there a specific scenario or part of the game where the performance is particularly poor?
I need this information to try and replicate the issue on our end. Based on the CapFrameX data you shared, the average FPS is 60, so understanding these details will help us pinpoint the problem more accurately.
Best regards,
Dean R.

I'm not sure how this got mixed up but the game is not Path of Exile, it's Guilty Gear Strive.
The game is on steam.
The settings are at the highest preset with motion blur off, I've tried different presets but it made no noticeable difference.
There are no specific situations where 1% lows are poor, that's how it runs on average, during normal gameplay.

I have a similar issue with this developers (ArcSys Works) older DX9 games, such as Blazblue Centralfiction and Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2. On my setup if I have VRR on the 1% lows seem to be more noticeable than it is off but i'm not really sure. Using a B570

Hi Ryanp213,
I am currently investigating the issue you reported and would like to clarify the following items:
- Software for FPS Monitoring: Could you please let me know which software you are using to capture the sudden FPS drops? Are you using CapFrameX or another tool?
- Specific Game Mode: Can you specify the exact game mode in which you are experiencing the issue?
Additionally, I suggest that you try installing the latest graphics driver: 32.0.101.6557_101.6262. During our testing in Dojo mode, we did not experience any stuttering. Download the driver here: Intel® Arc™ & Iris® Xe Graphics - Windows*
Thank you for your cooperation.

Dean R.

I used CapFrameX with the config file from the guide on submitting issues.
I captured it while playing in the training mode but the performance is the same for me when playing online and in other single player modes.
I've updated the driver to version 32.0.101.6262 and the performance has not changed.
