(here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/newsroom/news/intel-announces-new-intel-arc-pro-gpus.html#gs.2aqgsf) states the following:
"The Intel Arc Pro A60 GPU for workstation desktops will be available from Intel authorized distributors in the coming weeks, while the Intel Arc Pro A60M GPU for mobile systems will be available from original equipment manufacturers (OEM) partners in the coming months."
The A60 appears to be a perfect price and performance fit for my home engineering workstation and I'd like to purchase one. My search for a retailer has turned up only the following, rather depressing thread:
https://www.reddit.com/r/intel/comments/14nkgj6/intel_a60_gpu_is_going_to_be_a_flop/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=2
Is it true that the A60 won't be made available as a retail offering, despite the launch announcement implying it would be?
This would be incredibly disappointing news if true. Not only does the A60 look like a perfect fit for my system and tasks, but I actively want to support Intel's efforts to enter the GPU market. Hope Intel isn't going to turn away legitimate potential customers by refusing to make available the product that's the best fit for them. In other words, please make the A60 available at retail and take my money.

Hello rsbonini
Upon checking the availability of the Arc Pro GPU with our team what we can say is that the distribution at the moment is focused on partner systems as stated in our previous post, however, the availability can expand at any moment but we can not provide an estimated time for this to happen, please stay tuned to later news.
We highly appreciate your interest in our Intel® Arc™ Pro GPUs and apologize for any inconvenience.
Best Regards,
Hugo O.

Hello rsbonini
Thank you for posting on the Intel® ARC™ Graphics Communities. We appreciate your interest in our Intel® Arc™ Pro GPUs and we understand that knowing where to buy the graphics card is important for you.
At the moment these GPUs are currently only available via partner systems and as such the actual availability of the GPUs will be guided by the host systems. As systems become announced and available from partners, they will be promoted on the relevant public web pages.
You can check the following information to know about system partners' products: Workstations Powered by Intel

A lot of people, including myself, are rooting for intel to succeed in the GPU market. It's utterly baffling that intel would leave sales on the floor like this.
Do you have any explanation as to the why these cards won't be available at retail?
