Adobe Premiere Pro support

When this product was launched (A770) Intel said Adobe would be supporting the card. In fact it's stil on the ARC page. 8 months later, no AV1, no accelerated renders, no accelerated plugins. Is this just Nvidia interfering and telling Adobe not to comply or is this just not on the "to do" list for everyone?

 

AV1 support and hardware encoding/decoding

Davinci Resolve? Yup

Filmora? Yup

Premiere Pro.......? We know the answer to this.

 

When a $79 program allows this and Premiere doesn't, something smells funny.

Thank you for posting on the  Intel® ARC™ Graphics Communities. I am sorry you are experiencing issues when trying to use these features in Adobe Premier Pro with your Intel® Arc™ A770 GPU.


Regarding these features AV1 encoding, accelerated plugins, and accelerated renders do you see any error messages or crashes when trying to use them? If possible and applicable please share some screenshots so we can take a look and better understand the problem.

Hi Hugo.

 

I don't think it's an Intel issue. I think Adobe is just not supporting these options as they promised on the ARC launch. AV1 is not available in export menus or preferences, unlike the other 2 software applications I mentioned.

The Intel® Arc™ GPUs have native driver support for AV1 encoding, so as you mentioned the issue might be coming from the software side, however, allow me to check with our team if there is any information regarding this issue.

We want to let you know that we are currently working on this issue to come up with a fix for it. The problem is also outlined in our driver release notes. At the moment there is no estimated time for a fix to be released, but know that we are working on this one.
