Arc B580 Zenless Zone Zero Textures Bugged/optimization issue/unable to change texture quality

Hello, I would like to report an issue while using the b580 on Zenless Zone Zero. textures are stuck on low resolution textures despite pc having the capabilities to display high resolution textures.

Specs are Challenger OC Intel arc b580 12gb amd ryzen 5 7600x 32gb ram I have provided examples from a reddit post that has the same issue. I am currently using the most recent intel drivers update + windows 11 pro (screenshot below) Motherboard is Asrocks b650m Pro Rs. The game is installed on my only ssd through the official hoyoverse launcher.

It seems that the game is auto choosing to use low vram (1024) textures despite the fact that my graphics card (which has 12gb of vram) is more than capable of using higher textures. It makes the gaming experience very jarring and unappealing. It's almost as if there is cognitive dissonance with the games settings menu.

TLDR even when textures in menu are set to high they remain low resolution.

I have already tried changing settings from high to low then low to high, verifying integrity of files, restarting the game, reinstalling the game, swapped resolutions, tweaked in game settings, all to no avail.

Clearly this is an optimization issue with drivers/gpu. If this issue could be resolved that would be great. I have also forwarded this issue to the hoyoverse support team as well.

Hello ChaoticFriedRice,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

I am currently looking into this issue you've reported and would need your help with the missing information below, so I can further investigate and provide you with an appropriate fix:

1) Please help share your system configuration so I can fully check and identify the possible cause of this issue. This could be possible by downloading the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software. When the download is complete, launch SSU.exe.

  • Scan: Check the box Everything.
  • Click Scan.
  • Review: When finished scanning, click Next.
  • Click Save (.txt). Attach the log file as you reply/post back.

2) Please also share:

  • Monitor/display make and model (or share the monitor/display specifications link).
  • Power Supply make and model.

3) Can you share what graphics driver versions have been tried and is still getting this issue?

4) Does the game previously work fine and only got the optimization issue recently? If yes, were there any changes before the issue started?

I will wait for your reply.

Best regards,

JeanetteC.

Hello ChaoticFriedRice,

Good day.

As per result of our investigation, this should be handled by the game developer first, since the same issue occurs on 3rd party graphics cards as well (see other users reporting this issue on Nvidia GPUs as well https://www.reddit.com/r/ZZZ_Official/comments/1dwc8wp/low_resolution_textures_cant_change/ ).

With that in mind, I recommend contacting the game developer first. In case you need further assistance, you may submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.

Sincerely,

JeanetteC.
