Arc control bug

I update the driver to 4575 today, but after I restarted my pc,I can't open the main menu of the control.

The same with quit,I have to shut down Arc Control service in task manager that I can reopen the control, but I can't adjust any settings.

I have tried to use DDU to reinstall the driver but it doesn‘t solve this issue.

Is this a bug?Or maybe something is wrong with my pc?

Hi Everyone!
Got the same problem with mi Hp laptop Omen 16" Intel i5 11400H, Nvidia RTX 3060 (mobile), W11 22H2.

Today I updated the latest controller of intel ARC and the laptop stop to recognize screen when i connect the laptop to other screens.

Tried to uninstall the driver, to get to an older one, etc. Nothing works.

Hopefully this gets fixed with an update, because this laptop is used to play games and i can't connect a second screen.

I'll stay tuned.

Forgive my english (not my first language).

Hello everyone,

After investigating this matter internally, and for testing purposes, we recommend you verify if you also have Intel Graphics Command Center installed and uninstall it.

Then, if the issue remains, share the Arc Control logs once more. If there are multiple files, zip all the files into a folder and share it with us:

  • Go to C:\Users\<your_username_here>\AppData|Local\Intel\IGN\logs"
  • Press and hold (or right-click) the file or folder, select (or point to) Send to, and then select Compressed (zipped) folder.

Best regards,

I have the same issue and I have never used NVIDIA. I don't have any other dedicated GPU on my system other than an A380.

Here is a new update to my situation.

I have upgraded my Nvidia driver to 536.99 WHQL Studio and while it was installing, the Intel Arc Control Interface appeared on its own. The installation of the Nvidia driver finished and shortly I closed the Arc Control Interface. After a little time I went to the taskbar and hit the 'Show hidden icons' arrow; from there I selected 'Intel Arc Control' and it opened up instantaneously. Afterward, however, I restarted the machine and the Intel Arc Control Interface refused to appear, either by being toggled from the 'Show hidden icons' arrow on the taskbar or by typing in 'Intel Arc Control' in the Start Menu and hitting Enter. And it still will not appear currently.

This scenario is the same as Parkdale's.

I was unable to in any way open the Arc Control Interface before as described in my original post on the topic. The only time it appeared after upgrading to driver version 31.0.101.4575 (and to the drivers which followed, both Stable and BETA) was as mentioned priorly in this message. Currently, and after restarting, the Interface would not appear as per the conditions expressed in my original post on the topic.

Herewith I provide a screenshot for further elucidation. As can be seen within, my current Intel Arc Driver version proves 31.0.101.4578 BETA.

Thank you!

Logs are attached if they are any use?

Not a whole lot of benefit to loading the ARC Control Center at this time anyway.

No quick keyboard shortcuts to activate video capture and all parameters can be seen in HWINFO64

It is not like you have a whole lot of adjustability in the program anyway.

I had the same (failure to launch) issue for the past two drivers and elected not to load it.

Card works fine....actually better than fine.

I noticed I had an ever so slight micro-stutter when it was loaded, that seemed to go completely away when it wasn't.

Latest drivers are fine, Arc overlay is not.... Although you can kill and reload the overlay, it does not survive any reboot, then your back to square one.

Again same thing: worked fine. Rebooted PC and now Arc Control complains of camera being used another app. This also happens if I hibernate the PC. Once it glitches, the program is hosed forever. Very frustrating as I used the screen blur feature a lot. Please advise on how I can help.

Latest Driver installed.. 31.0.101.4644, still no Arc control overlay working! logs attached

I have just installed driver version 31.0.101.4672 WHQL after removing the previous driver (31.0.101.4669 WHQL) in Safe Mode with DDU. And the Intel Arc Control Interface still does not appear.

It seems that as described priorly by myself and Parkdale here - the Intel Arc Control Interface only appears throughout the installation of Nvidia drivers (on its own; without being toggled manually). Afterward it appears as many times as it is summoned until the machine is restarted. Then it will not appear again.

I really hope the issue is addressed and amended precipitately within the later versions of the drivers.

Thank you!

The Intel Arc Control Interface seems to be working and opening fluently again in version 31.0.101.4824.

It is very good that a summary remedy for the issue has been applied and that all the comments were taken into serious consideration.

This is the way software is made better. This is the way to go!
