Hello,
I am doing PremierePro video edition with dual monitor set-up.
I tried really hard to keep video drivers updates but since version 6651 everything was unstable, after many DDU deinstall/install, disk scans, etc
I was running Intel Graphics Driver 32.0.101.6651 WHQL because there were the most stables drivers with my PC.
I finally decided to give a try to the lastest driver 32.0.101.6739.
But now I am getting BSOD igdkmdnd64.sys Video TDR failure Error.
It happen when I am editing in PremierePro, it can happen suddently when I am playing the timeline or simply doing Lumetri correction.
It make to sense to stay forever with outdated drivers...
I have included Windows dump File and SSU IntelScan file.
Regards
Remy

Update,
While doing editing on my SD material, I got BSOD recorded on my phone. (MiniDump 050225-12406-01.dmp)
Then I got a second BSOD on while editing the 4K h265 phone video for the cloud. (MiniDump 050225-12843-01.dmp)
It's getting weirder and weirder, could be a defect card. Looking at the Intel_Graphic_Interface, I barely use Vram, GPU temperature is always under 50 degree...
All my setting in the BIOS are default setting, no OC, no Performance Mode, no XMP memory tuning, I am up to date in my drivers, firmware, etc...

Hi @Mejnour32 . I have tried to replicate my original problem, but it seems that my card calm down or I don't push it the right way.
Have you tried synthetic benchmarks like OCCT? I also tried the Puget system benchmark (the free version) and still can't trigger the problem. I also noticed that if used my other monitor with HDMI cable and lower resolution, the both Premiere and After Effects won't slow down as much when pushed hard.
One thing that I noticed is that my card makes funny coil whine noise when heavy effects are used and I'm playing the timeline, do you hear something from your card before it crashes?
Also can you try with higher memory preserved for other application (leave more RAM aside for other programs) setting in Preferences for Adobe Premiere? For me the crash is almost always in combination with high memory use of RAM and VRAM.

Hello,
What is funny, I barely use VRAM according the the Intel Graphic Sofware. The power consumption is higher with my iGPU vs dGPU.
I have 4K monitor and 1920x1200 Eizo Grading Monitor. So I am using DP port on both to get the 10-bits color depth.
I though about Puget system, but it's not real life testing like doing my workflow. And according to the Intel Graphic Software I am always in the 99th percentile...
It's always crashing when I am working in premiere pro, this PC is dedicated to edition video.
It might be a combinaison of different action that crash the card, or it can be also just a defective card.
Sometime is BSOD, sometime PP freeze, sometime the GPU simply shut off during video editing, so I have to start again PP.
I bought this card to scrub more smoothly during color grading. Now if I have to disable some plugins, use only 1 monitor, create special profile to use this card for editing SD material, we have a problem.
In comparaison my RTX 2060 is rock stable, even if it is not perfectly smooth on the timeline rendering.
I don't use much Vram, I noticed that ProRes codec use a lot of GPU utilization while playing with HSL secondary in Lumetri Panel.
Would say that GPU utilization and GPU Render/Compute utilization are the highest, but I recorded crash without those 2 been at 100%.

May 3rd,
- I did clean install of Windows 11 pro
- Installed lastest Intel Arc drivers 101.6790 release on May 2nd
- Did restauration point
Installed essentials software only. Will monitor editing in PP, if stable, will install other software, creating restauration point each time.
Wait and see...

Did some color grading in PP, almost half of smooth editing.
Then I need to do a basing cut before rendering and suddently everything froze, few second later good BSOD.
You can look for "May_4_2025" for crash documentation.

Hi @Mejnour32,
Thank you for your patience as we investigated the BSOD issue you encountered with Adobe Premiere Pro. I wanted to share our findings and provide some guidance on potential next steps.
We attempted to replicate the BSOD using the same GPU and driver version you mentioned. In our tests, Adobe Premiere Pro functioned correctly, even when following the steps detailed in the video you shared. The dump files you provided indicate a potential GPU issue, either related to the driver or hardware. Since the driver performed well in our replication, there is a possibility of a hardware issue with the GPU.
To rule out other variables, we recommend the following:
- Revert any hardware overclocking done to the CPU, GPU, and RAM (XMP).
- If possible, perform a clean OS installation to eliminate any software conflicts.
If the issue persists after these steps, we can consider initiating a GPU RMA process.
Please let us know if you have any questions or need further assistance. We are here to help you resolve this issue.

Hi Randy,
I already did clean OS installation this week-end, running OS with minimal software.
Also I am running with all default performance setting since a couple days (intel standard).
Did record a second crash this morning with clean OS installation.
I have record of it with the crash file under "May_5" folder. AppCrashDumps
I would appreciate to intitiate the RMA procedure, I ran off of idea to make it work.

@Mejnour32 Before you do what @RandyT_Intel wrote, are you willing to perform a risky Windows Registry edit?
There is article related to "Substance" but the problem sounds very alike: https://helpx.adobe.com/substance-3d-painter/technical-support/technical-issues/gpu-issues/gpu-drivers-crash-with-long-computations-tdr-crash.html
At this point there is nothing to lose, you already invested time into troubleshooting the problem and Intel goes with the lest resistance solutions, while the problem is clearly out there for years and mostly related to Intel GPUs.

@darkGT
Thanks for your support buddy.
I already try it before doing clean OS installation.
Also tried with a different PSU and different powercable.
GPU price tag are crazy high, this is why I give a try to Intel that are the only one with reasonable price.
I guess I will live with my old RTX 2060.
There might be reason why concurrence have Studio and Gaming drivers.
Have you succeed on your side?

Hi Mejnour32,
You are not alone.
I got the same issue with Davinci Resolve Studio.
At first, I didn't get BSOD, the whole system hangs.
I tried to upgrade my Resolve from 18 to even 20 beta but the problem's still.
Then I randomly got BSOD, other times the system hangs.
I purchased B580 Limited Edition Dec. 2024, and I was happy editing video then.
Now I can trigger this issue just by scrolling my timeline.
So I think this issue has to be with either the Graphic driver, or with my GPU.
I have to say it's a bit relief to see that this issue is already reported.
And to my dear former colleagues,
Please fix this.
Regards,
Yanshuo

Hi Mejnour32
I have exactly the same problem and I solved it by uninstalling everything with DDU and installing the "gfx_win_101.6647" version in safe mode
This is the only version of the driver that allows me to work with Premiere Pro (I opened a thread for this problem)
I hope it helps you

Hi,
Thank you for your info
I confirm that 6647 also works fine.
I am working on Davinci Resolve Studio 22beta
I will hold back all driver upgrades until this matter is solved

@oneclick
That is some interesting finding. I was aware of the safe mode DDU procedure.
But for the installation are you implying that if you installing the Intel driver in normal mode will not work?

I don't know, I haven't tried.
I installed the driver in safe mode (as recommended by the program) and it works fine.

Actually you do not have to use DDU.
In my case, just install the 6647 version with "Clean Install" option will work.

Revise
Test of encoding for an 80-minute SD project.
Only Ultra 265K takes about 30 minutes to render.
Rendering Ultra 265K + Arc580 ~15min (dGPU 100%)
I added my old dGPU, the RTX2060, in the same PCIe lane using the same power cable after removing the Arc580 and failing to replicate the BSOP with the CPU alone. Everything is going OK so far.

RTX 2060 + Ultra 265K ~15min rendering.
