All Arc GPU Users are experiencing severe frame drops when starting matches in EA FC 26 on my system with a Ryzen 5 5600 and Intel Arc B580. Right after starting a match, the FPS drops drastically, causing heavy stuttering. After I press the start button on my controller and the menu appears where I can adjust team settings, I have to wait about 10 to 15 seconds before the gameplay stabilizes and the FPS returns to normal, allowing smooth play.
This issue might be caused by how Arc handles rendering for the game's interactive displays (I’ve attached screenshots for reference). This issue also occurs at the start of the second half, meaning I have to wait through this lag twice per match to avoid being at a disadvantage. The heavy frame drops happen in every match I play.
I’ve tried various settings including switching between fullscreen and borderless windowed modes, toggling VSync, adjusting graphics quality, and enabling or disabling features like Resizable BAR, HAGS, and Windows Game Mode. None of these changes have resolved the issue. Rolling back to older drivers didn’t help either.
This persistent FPS drop at match start and halftime severely disrupts gameplay. It appears to be an optimization or compatibility issue specific to the Intel Arc B580 with EA FC 26, likely needing a patch or driver update from Intel or EA.

Hi bani1o7,
Thank you for posting in our Community. You’ve already done some great troubleshooting on your own, and based on your description (and the reports you shared), this issue seems tied to how Arc handles rendering in this game. To cover all bases before escalating, I’d like to gather a bit more information:
- Have you noticed similar FPS drops or stuttering in other games on your Arc B580, or is this issue isolated to EA FC 26?
- Can you confirm if the issue occurs in both offline matches and online modes (e.g., FUT, Kick-Off, Career Mode)?
- Has the game or system been working before?
- Do the frame drops also happen in training drills or other pre-match cutscenes, or only at kickoff and halftime?
- What is the version of your game?
- Since you’re currently on driver version 32.0.101.7029, please note that a newer WHQL-certified graphics driver, 32.0.101.8132, is now available and may help resolve this issue. Have you tried installing the latest driver using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) before reinstalling? Hotfixes for game-specific problems are often included in the latest releases, so it would be helpful to know if this changes the behavior.
Additionally, could you please provide CapFrameX data for this game? This will allow me to analyze performance metrics in more detail and identify any potential issues. Ideally, please share a CapFrameX file that includes at least 2-5 minutes of gameplay
Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Von M.

Hi Von,
thanks for getting back to me. Here are the details you asked for:
The issue occurs in EA FC 26.
I’ve mainly tested FUT so far, but I am sure it affects all modes.
My system itself has been working fine, but the game is nearly unplayable since I always need to wait before it stabilizes.
The drops happen after every match start as well as after each halftime (both first and second half of the game) and also in the FUT menu and when opening packs.
I’m currently on the latest version of EA FC 26 Ultimate Edition.
I updated to the newest driver, but the issue remains the same.
I’ve attached CapFrameX data from both the Arc B580 and an RX 7600 for comparison. It is a full run of a match, including the complete FUT game. The recording starts at team selection in both runs. The graphics settings are identical in both, and I have also attached the graphics settings separately. The config file can simply be placed under:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\EA SPORTS FC 26
As mentioned before, I hope a quick solution can be found because the stuttering makes the game experience extremely poor. I also included links earlier showing that I am not the only one experiencing this problem.
Thanks in advance for your support!
Best regards,
bani1o7

Hello bani1o7,
Thank you for sharing the SSU report. I noticed that your current graphics driver version is outdated, which may be contributing to the issue. To further troubleshoot, I recommend performing a clean driver installation using the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) tool, then reinstalling the latest Intel® Graphics Driver version 32.0.101.8132 (WHQL certified)
Once you’ve completed the installation, please generate and share a new SSU report with us. This will allow us to confirm the updated driver version and continue with deeper analysis if needed.
Best regards,

Hello Von,
thank you for your reply. I have already uninstalled the old driver using DDU and installed the latest Intel Graphics Driver (version 32.0.101.8132). The SSU file was already attached in my last message, but I am attaching it again here for your convenience.
All files are included in the archive Data_B580.7z.
Additionally, the CapFrameX logs I shared earlier were both recorded with the latest GPU drivers (Intel 32.0.101.8132, AMD 25.9.1) installed. I have attached the archive once more to ensure you have everything needed for further analysis.
For reference, here is an excerpt from the previously attached SSU log:
"Intel ® Graphics Driver Version: 32.0.101.8132"
"Intel(R) Arc(TM) B580 Graphics"

So is this gonna get fixed or do i need to buy a new GPU in order to play FC 26? Everyone with an intel arc has the same problem. The game is unplayable. Every cutscene it the fps drops to 1-3 for about 10-15 seconds, then it goes back to normal. It's a **bleep** shame when it's the first time im playing FIFA/FC on PC and it does not work. Should've kept playing on Xbox it seems.

Hello bani1o7,
Thank you for your patience as I continue investigating the severe frame drops and stuttering you're experiencing with EA FC 26 on your Intel Arc B580 graphics card.
I've reviewed your comprehensive troubleshooting efforts, including the DDU clean installation of the latest Intel Graphics Driver (32.0.101.8132), SSU logs, and CapFrameX performance data you provided. Your detailed comparison with the RX 7600 performance has been very valuable for my analysis.
Current Investigation Status: Based on my research, I've found that EA FC 26 frame drop issues are being reported across multiple GPU manufacturers, not just Intel Arc. This suggests the issue may be related to the game's optimization rather than being specific to Intel graphics drivers.
To help determine the root cause and potential solutions, I need you to test a few specific scenarios:
1. Monitor Settings Check:
- Do you have G-Sync or FreeSync enabled on your monitor?
- If yes, please try disabling it temporarily and test EA FC 26 performance
2. Resolution Testing:
- Please set the in-game resolution to 720p and test if this resolves or reduces the frame drops
- This will help determine if the issue is resolution-dependent
3. Video Documentation:
- Could you provide reference videos showing the frame drops on your Intel Arc B580?
- If possible, also provide comparison footage from your RX 7600 testing
- Focus on the specific scenarios where drops occur (kickoff, halftime, FUT menus, pack opening)
4. EA Sports Contact:
- Have you reached out to EA Sports directly about this issue?
- If not, I recommend also reporting this to EA's technical support as they may have game-specific solutions
Current System Configuration:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
- GPU: Intel Arc B580 (Driver: 32.0.101.8132)
- OS: Windows 11 24H2
- Game: EA FC 26 Ultimate Edition (latest patch)
I've identified similar reports from other players experiencing FPS drops in EA FC 26 across different GPU brands, which indicates this may be a broader game optimization issue that EA Sports needs to address.
Please complete the testing above and provide the requested information. This will help me determine whether we need to pursue Intel-specific solutions or if this requires coordination with EA Sports for a game-side fix.

The frame drop issue affects many GPUs, probably even all of them, and I experience some stuttering on my AMD card as well. However, the problem with the Arc B580 is that the stutters are extremely severe and last for a long time. If you look at the CapFrameX data, it clearly shows how long the framerate dips persist on the B580. I don’t have this problem on the RX 7600 at all.
Orange is RX 7600 - Green is Arc B580
- Starting at about second 20 the gameplay begins. On AMD it is very smooth, while on the Arc B580 you can clearly see the FPS drops lasting until about second 35.
If you look at all of the CapFrameX logs you can clearly see that the gaming experience with the Arc B580 suffers significantly. The data shows in detail how much the gameplay stutters with the B580 and how severe and prolonged the FPS drops are at times. When compared to the RX 7600, it becomes clear that the gaming experience on the RX 7600 is much smoother and more enjoyable overall. Although cutscenes still sometimes stutter on the RX 7600, which have been almost completely fixed on AMD GPUs through recent game patches, whereas on the B580 they remain largely unchanged.
In my opinion, the cutscenes are mostly irrelevant because they are almost always skipped in FUT. The bigger issue is that after skipping, the game does not run smoothly immediately, and during each match there is a total waiting time of about 30 seconds (around 15 seconds at kickoff and 15 seconds at halftime) before the gameplay smooths out.
I have already tried everything you suggested, including limiting the frame rate to 60 FPS, but nothing helps. The Arc B580 still suffers from severe drops exactly where they should not happen.
Here is a video that shows the mentioned stuttering clearly:
https://youtu.be/SWUeAJ5iqSU?start=1555&end=1575
That video only shows the offline mode. However, in FUT the stuttering is much worse and lasts the 10 to 15 seconds after kick off that I timed myself.

Hello bani1o7,
Really appreciate the detailed breakdown you shared along with the CapFrameX data and video. To help us dig a little deeper, could you check a couple of things for us?
-
Do you have G-Sync or FreeSync turned on for your monitor?
-
Can you try running the game at 720p resolution just as a test, to see if the stuttering improves?
- And lastly, have you had a chance to reach out to EA Sports about this? Since it looks like other GPUs are affected too, their feedback could give us more insight.
We know it’s extra steps, but this will really help narrow down whether the issue is driver-related or if it’s something that needs to be handled on the game side. Thanks a ton for working with us on this.
Best regards,
Von M.
