General info:
Graphics Driver Information:
- Driver Version: 32.0.101.5763
- Latest Driver: Confirmed using the latest WHQL driver
System Information:
- Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 185H 2.30 GHz
- Motherboard: Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 16IMH9

- Power Supply: 175W
Issue Description:
When connecting my ASUS MX27AQ monitor (which supports 2560x1440 resolution) to my Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 16IMH9 laptop via HDMI, the maximum available resolution in Windows settings is capped at 1080p (1920x1080). This occurs even though the monitor’s specifications clearly support 1440p (2560x1440). Windows lists 1080p as the "Recommended Resolution."
Steps to Reproduce:
- Connect the ASUS MX27AQ to the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 16IMH9.
- Go to Windows Display Settings.
- Observe that the maximum selectable resolution is 1080p.
Additional Information:
- Tested multiple HDMI cables with the same results.
- Monitor functions correctly at 2560x1440 when connected to a different PC.
- Followed the steps on Unable to Select the Native Resolution and Other Supported Refresh...
- Also made a blogpost on Lenovo and followed the recommended steps there, read: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Laptops/Problem-with-resolution-of-external-monitor-1440p/m-p/5359290?random=C7rvZe1uFGIJJP8oPBtdG8Xuur2QfJgX_2fcaa605a346905687e02301ffc05d78&page=1#6529981
Please advise on potential driver or configuration solutions to enable full resolution support for my external monitor.
Best regards,
Nathan

Hello Muc,
I saw that the drivers for my monitor which I could find online were only available for windows 10 and earlier, maybe this was the problem because my other computers run windows 10 and my newest laptop runs on windows 11. Sadly I am not able to test out a displayport cable because my laptop does not have one and i don't own a dongle.
I just ordered a new 2.5K screen which i connect through usb-C and it shows the propper resolution.
Thanks for the help !
Kind regards,
Nathan
