Hi Intel!
Is there possible way to fix so that it works with DirectX 12 on the game Fortnite since they use UE 5.1?
I installed latest beta driver for Intel ARC 31.0.101.4311 but the game only wants to start in DirectX 11 which is not playable at all for my kid.
Other users say that ActiveX 12 worked when Fortnite used UE 5.
I have included Intel System Support Utility configuration file if that helps.
Many thanks in advance

Hello Musse,
Thank you for posting on the Intel
To have a better understanding of the situation, please answer the following questions:
- Does the issue happen with the driver version 31.0.101.4255?
- Does the issue happen with Dell driver 31.0.101.3616?
- Take screenshots of the game settings.

The kid have his computer now at his mom’s place.
But we also tried on a Lenovo X280 and same problem there.
I will try driver 31.0.101.4255 and see what happens on that computer and let you know.
What game settings exactly should I show? We use the standard settings in the game without changing anything.

I tried today on a Lenovo X280 and it's the same issue there, I know the hardware is older but from what I have seen before is that it should have worked before with DirectX 12.
For this computer I couldn't find any beta drivers (UHD Graphics 620) so the latest was version 31.0.101.2121
I have included Intel System Support Utility configuration file if that helps.

On the weekend I will try to test on the Dell 7320 with Dell driver 31.0.101.3616 and with beta driver 31.0.101.4255 and report back.

Thank you for your answer, all the information provided has been really helpful.
For the Intel® UHD Graphics 620, there are no Beta drivers and the latest one is 31.0.101.2121.
I will wait for you to complete the driver update on Dell 7320 to version 31.0.101.3616 and with beta version 31.0.101.4255.

I tried version 31.0.101.3616 and with beta version 31.0.101.4255 and no difference.
I also tried the latest 31.0.101.4335 and same there.
The only choice is DirectX 11 or Performance - Lower Graphical Fidelity as the picture
I saw this info on another forum:
So basically, when Fortnite went with Chapter 4, they started using Unreal Engine 5.1 instead of Unreal Engine 5 which uses a thingy called shader model 6. If your graphics card's shader model is something below 6 then you cant play on DirectX 12.
