Using an Arc A770 16GB from Sparkle.

Game + OBS (w/o recording, just open):
a) game window in focus --> severe FPS drops + game stutters. Low GPU power consumption.
b) OBS' window in focus --> the game suffers a severe FPS loss and sightly bad frametimes. Mid-high GPU power consumption.

Game + Wallpaper Engine:
a) severe FPS drops + game stutters. Low GPU power consumption.

This even happens with the screen sharing feature from discord.

Windows 11 Pro for Workstations 24H2 (26100.3194, fresh install). Using Max Performance pplan.

Tried with 101.6559 and the latest beta release (the beta release f%$·#D up the min frametimes so i rolled back to the WHQL ones btw).

PC Specs:
i7-8700k at 4.9 GHz (5.1 turbo, PL1 = 999W)

Gigabyte z370 Aorus Gaming 3 (F15c, Resizable Bar enabled)

64 GB DDR4 3400 CL14.
1TB SSD (Windows + games), 500GB RAID1 (%UserProfile%\), 2TB RAID0 (Apps here).

Cooler Master MWE Gold V2 1050W

Tested with FurMark but it happens with Overwatch 2, Apex Legends and Marvel Rivals too.

Excuse me what the...

I was using iGPU drivers 31.0.101.2134 (22/12/2024). Accidentally rolling back to version 26.20.100.7642 (22/01/2020) fixed the issue.

We've swallowed the story about minimum requirements (not obviously arbitrary or biased at all... /s off) and treated it like a bible. Now we're using it as a scapegoat to run away from the uncomfortable reality, hiding it under the carpet.

Intel never again.

Offtopic: still waiting for the HAGS support for Alchemist since 2022. Oh, wait... they dropped it. It exists for Battlemage only for some non suspicious and absolutely not arbitrary reason. Imagine reducing the CPU usage / overhead even further and dismantling the minimum requirements excuse for A750 and lower end GPUs...

Your hardware does not meet arc requirements:

8th and 10th gen have exactly the same architecture and igpu. Just 14nm++++++ overclocked cpus. I dont think a low end cpu like the i3-10300 just outperforms a overclocked i7-8700k.

Even if we just believe my cpu doesnt meet the minimum requierements (laughs in ultracapitalism), theres no evidence that this issue has become a general experience. Just low framerates and high CPU usage instead.

So please lets use our head.
