GamePP DX12 Benchmark can't working on Arc A730M

This buffer type is GPU to CPU. But in the third Frame after the start, buffer->map failed.

Hi Robert Q,

The Steps:

 1. Download GamePP GPU Benchmark Demo or GamePP.

 2. If you download GamePP GPU Benchmark Demo, just run Launcher.exe in CMD/PowerShell, Launcher.exe -r meanings DX12 RayTracing.

 3. If you download GamePP, you need to open PCScore -> GPU Benchmark.

The Intel® System Support Utility for Windows "Everything" and save the resulting .txt is attch.

 

The Driver gfx_win_101.3490 can run without error, but the screen flickers.

The Driver gfx_win_101.3793  buffer->map failed come back.

Thank you for the information.


We can see that the device is currently running on the following intel Graphics driver: 31.0.101.3490 which is an older version of the ntel® Arc™ Graphics Windows* DCH Driver.


Perform a clean update to the latest version of the Intel® Arc™ Graphics Windows* DCH Driver by following these steps:




We can also see that you are running on the BIOS version MACHENIKE G1IB037, 08/30/2022 12:00 上午, make sure this is the latest version.


Once these steps are completed please test the benchmark and share the outcome with us, and attach screen captures of the outcome or any error messages.

 I use the new ARC Driver, but it's still screen flickers.

You need to download GamePP GPU Benchmark Demo  and run Launcher to check what happen.

 

My laptop BIOS Version is already the latest version.

In the meantime please let us know if during your testing the Resizable Bar was enabled in your system's BIOS?

Does this type of error appears only in the benchmark or are you experiencing similar issues in different applications such as videogames?

  1. The Resizable Bar was enabled on the GPU-Z.

  2. Currently, this type of error occurs 100% of the time in Benchmark, but only occasionally in other games.

  3. I still have this problem with beta drivers.

Recently a new driver was launched for Intel® Arc™ the driver version 31.0.101.4032.


Please install the latest driver version and run the benchmark.

When we try to run the GamePP GPU Benchmark Demo via Command Prompt with parameter -r it fails stating Ray Tracing is not supported.


Please record a video replicating the issue and share it with us.

  the following video is recorded with Intel® Arc™ the driver version 31.0.101.4032 in Command Prompt Run Launcher.exe to starting demo.

for example:

C:\Windows\System32>cd D:\GamePP_GPU_Benchmark\Benchmark

C:\Windows\System32>D:

D:\GamePP_GPU_Benchmark\Benchmark>Launcher.exe -r

D:\GamePP_GPU_Benchmark\Benchmark>Launcher.exe -r --fullscreen

D:\GamePP_GPU_Benchmark\Benchmark>Launcher.exe

D:\GamePP_GPU_Benchmark\Benchmark>Launcher.exe --fullscreen

-r means Open RayTracing Mode.

--fullscreen means Open FullScreen Mode.

After reviewing the video it seems as though the video is showcasing the driver version installed on the device,

We are unable to observe the error messages, in case you are using more than one display make sure to be using only one at the time of recording, 


  • Please record again a video showing the steps to follow in order to trigger the issue using GamePP GPU Benchmark Demo.

Hello Robert Q,

 

  The attached video shows the system information, the graphics card driver version, and the GamePP GPU Benchmark Demo starting up.
  The main problem is that the picture is flickering and confusing.
  In order to ensure that the video does not exceed the size of the uploaded file, I pressed Esc to end Benchmark, and did not record the whole process of Benchmark.

  One more piece of information, GamePP GPU Benchmark uses DirectX Raytracing, DirectX Raytracing Feature Test requires Windows 10 version 2004 or later.

Thanks to your reports, we reproduced the issue. It has been reported to our driver debug team bug ID 22016494146. Unfortunately, we can't commit to any outcome or time frame yet, but we will address this in future driver updates.
