In August there was a firmware update that failed repeatedly on one of my A770LE cards (I have 2 installed in my system).
The primary card (the one located closest to the CPU) updated the firmware properly, but the secondary one didn't. The procedure to update a secondary card successfully is as follows:
1. Physically remove the primary card.
2. Install the driver with the firmware update. It will give the warning that the firmware update has failed because the HDMI device has disconnected.
If you still see and are able to use the mouse on the HDMI device, then the firmware update has been successful.
Since I did this, the screens on the secondary card no longer go blank for 8-12 seconds at a time.
12400 cpu, 128 GB Kingston 3600 Mhz ram, Corsair HX1000 PSU, 8 x WD 4 TB NAS drives, ASUS 670 rev 4 MB, etc.
I'd include the SSU report, but it doesn't get saved on my H: drive.
Also, the Arc control center still only sees the primary A770LE. Am I the only person in the world who doesn't use two of them?

Hello Barbra
Thank you for posting on the Intel® ARC™ Graphics Communites.
We appreciate that you shared that workaround to get the firmware updated on a secondary Arc GPU.
In regard to the issue you mentioned about Arc Control not detecting the secondary GPU, this is an uncommon setup, however, we will be more than willing to test it from our side and see if we can reproduce that behavior, just one detail we would like to know is where exactly are you not seeing the secondary GPU, performance tab, telemetry from Arc overlay, system information? If you can provide some screenshots of how your Arc Control looks like, it would be better so we can know exactly what will be looking for when testing.
Best Regards,

Hello Barbra
We would appreciate it if you could share with us more details and, if possible, screenshots of where exactly in the Arc Control Software you are not seeing the other Arc GPU being detected and what we should be looking for in case we need to test the behavior you are reporting.
