I keep my PC on for extended periods of time and at around 2 weeks various graphics-related functions stop working.
- Windows screen clipping via win+shift+s
- Alt-tabbing (window loses focus, but there is no popup on the main screen with previews and a different window is not brought into the foreground)
- Arc control crashes on startup
- Games fail to start, some silently, but for example Factorio says "failed to allocate swap chain" and PoE has "Failed to create device for adapter: Intel(R) Arc(TM) A770 Graphics. Error code: -2147024882" in the log
The games suggest out of vram problem, but according to windows task manager only 1Gig out of 16 on the card is used. And it's not lack of regular ram (64Gig system, half is sitting unused). Restarting explorer.exe helps but only for a while.
I will probably not be able to gather more data for 2 week until it starts happening again.

Hello Demiu,
Thank you for posting on the Intel
I see you have four different issues, in this thread I will help you with the Windows screen clipping via win+shift+s issue, for the other three issues please create a new thread for each one.
To have a better understanding of the situation, please answer the following questions:
- Is the Resizable Bar enabled?
- Was it working before correctly?
- Take a video of the issue.
- Download, run, save and attach the report for the following tools:
- Report for Intel® Graphics Drivers, find the installation steps on How to Install the Intel® Graphics Command Center From the Microsoft Store.
- Intel® System Support Utility for Windows (SSU), you can find the steps on the link How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows.

ReBAR is on
It works for about two weeks after a boot, then it starts to have problems
I don't think I can show anything on video what I can't describe via text (how do you record alt-tab window not showing lol)
I restarted and will run these tools when the problems return

Hello Demiu,
In order to continue further, please provide the following:
1. Run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) to gather more details about the system.
- Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18377/intel-system-support-utility-for-windows.html
- Open the application, check the "Everything" checkbox, and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".
- To save your scan, click Next and click Save.
2. Did you try with a different video card (3rd party or iGfx)?
If I do not get a reply from you, I will proceed to close this thread.
Regards,
Deivid A.
