Intel Arc 770 RGB Issu

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my 770. I wanted to change the color of the card to match the rest of the fan colors. Everything works using the Intel RGB Control application, but when I reboot, the colors are frozen and when I run the software to control the color, they tell me to connect the USB cable. I then uninstalled the software but when I reinstalled it, I got this message :

"No Intel Arc 770 Graphics card is currently detected. Please ensure the I2C cable is connected properly.

The Intel Arc RGB Controller requires that a Intel Arc 770 Graphics card is installed in this computer"

I connected the cable to control the rgb to a USB port on the motherboard.

I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled, changed the PCIe of the graphics card, changed the USB hub but nothing, impossible to change the color or even to be recognized by OS

The card is still working fine, no problems whatsoever.

Any ideas for the color?

Sincerely

It sounds like the RGB control issue is related to the connection or software. Since the card works fine otherwise, try the following:

  1. Check USB connection: Ensure the I2C cable is securely connected to the correct USB header on the motherboard.
  2. Update firmware: Check for any firmware updates for both the Intel Arc card and the motherboard.
  3. Use another RGB control software: If Intel RGB Control continues to fail, you could try third-party RGB control software compatible with your system.
  4. BIOS update: Updating the motherboard’s BIOS might help resolve compatibility issues with the RGB control.

I didn't connect the cable for managing the LEDs to my PC, as I forgot to do so during the test. Should I plug it in?

Hello Lekto4,

Thank you for patiently waiting on my response.

In order for me to deeply investigate our case, please provide and confirm the following information below:

1. Was the RGB functioning properly before?

2. When did the issue first occur?

3. Is the RGB control cable connected to the USB 2.0 pin header on the motherboard? Please refer to page 39 of the motherboard manual.

Furthermore, I have checked your SSU, and the current graphics driver installed on it was graphics driver: "32.0.101.6083." Kindly update your graphics driver to our latest one: 32.0.101.6297.

I look forward to your response!
