Intel Arc Control latest driver not install

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.
An interesting situation has arisen: every time you update the drivers for the built-in Intell video card after rebooting the HP 250 G8 laptop, all the updated drivers “fly” and version 31.0.101.4502 dated June 15, 2023 appears again.
And, by the way, a similar situation occurs not only on this laptop model. Exactly the same problem on the Lenovo LOQ 15IRH8 (82XV00V1RA) laptop. The same driver version keeps coming back.
If anything, the installation of fresh drivers is carried out with the removal of previous versions (Intel Arc Control program).

Hello Aeshmady,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with us. I understand how frustrating it must be to go through driver updates only to have them revert back after rebooting, especially on multiple laptop models.

To better assist you, I'd like to gather some additional details:

Please generate an SSU report to help me further analyze important details on your system. To generate the SSU report, please refer to the article: How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*. Please send us the generated SSU.txt file.

We look forward to your response!

Good afternoon, Mr. Robbie. Thank you for your prompt response. I will try to answer all questions - this is in my interests.

"Could you check if Windows Update is overriding your Manual Installations?" - I can’t answer this question because I don’t know HOW to determine or check it. If possible, please tell me the procedure.

Could you confirm if you're performing a Clean Installation of Intel® Graphics Drivers in Windows* when you update the drivers or are you updating over the existing drivers? - Yes, I can confirm: I am attaching a screenshot of the IntelArkControl installation screen.

I am also attaching the report generated by SSU/

Hello Aeshmady,

Thank you for providing your SSU Log and for the additional information.

Since the driver of your Iris Xe Graphics keeps on rolling back when updating it, please try the steps below:

1) Go to the Windows Device Manager

2) Click Display adapters

3) Open the graphics display adapter

4) Click the Driver tab then click Update Driver

5) Click "Browse my computer for drivers"

6) Choose "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"

7) Choose "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" then click Next

Update the graphics driver to the latest version. Refer on How to Install an Intel® Graphics Driver in Windows® 10 & Windows 11*

9)Reboot the system

If the above-mentioned steps did not work, we will do a Clean Reinstallation of your Graphics Driver. Please perform a Clean Installation of Intel® Graphics Drivers in Windows* and kindly follow the steps indicated.

We look forward for your response.

Best Regards,
