Hi,
I'm struggling with some rendering issues on Arma Reforger. Especially, when I play on modded servers, the buildings, items around me and trees are taken a long time to be rendered. Also, while I'm navigating around the map, the problem is still there. I have to wait at least 20 seconds for the environment to be rendered correctly. The problem occurs on official or vanilla (not modded) servers as well. At first I was thinking there is a problem with the game but other graphic card brands have no this issue. I've checked my SSD too and there is nothing to do about it. So I decided that it is all about my graphic card.
I think, my system is pretty good to run this game smoothly. Any solutions would be great!
My system info:
Gigabyte H610M H V2 DDR5
Intel i5 14400F
Intel Arc B580
Kingston Beast DDR5 16Gb RAM
Kioxia Exercia G3 Plus SSD 1TB
Thanks in advance,
Erman

Hello ermancelik,
Thank you for posting in the communities.
I checked the attached file, and upon checking, I saw that you have an issue with the graphics. May I ask if you have updated the driver version of your B580? If not, kindly update it to the latest Intel® Graphics Driver 32.0.101.6559 (WHQL Certified). And if the issue still persists after updating the driver, I want you to follow the steps provided by the articles below:
- Clean Installation of Intel Graphics Drivers in Windows*
- How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel Graphics Driver
Please let me know the result. I will be waiting for your response.
Best regards,

Hello,
Thanks for your response.
I had the latest driver version on my PC already but anyway I followed the instructions that you stated. First, I used DDU to uninstall the existing drivers in safe mode and restart my PC. Then, I dowloaded the latest version which is Intel® Graphics Driver 32.0.101.6559 (WHQL Certified) and installed it. Then, I log in to the game but the problem is still there. Nothing has changed.
Please help me to fix this issue.
Best,
Erman

Hello Ermancelik,
I'm sorry that the steps I provided didn't help in resolving the issue. To better understand the problem you're facing, could you please answer the following questions:
- Where did you download ARMA Reforger?
- Does this issue occur only with this game?
- Have you tried lowering the graphic settings, and if so, does the issue persist?
Additionally, could you provide a screenshot of the game settings and an Intel System Support Utility for Windows* result so I can investigate your system information?
Best regards,
John Sergio M.

Hello,
Please find my answers below:
- I downloaded ARMA Reforger from official Steam Store.
- I have other games in my library like Dayz, GTA V, Delta Force. None of them has this issue. They are running perfectly.
- Yes, I tried all the in-game graphic settings as lowest but the issue persists.
Here is the system req. for ARMA Reforger stated on Steam. My specs are suitable for the recommended ones I think. I have Windows 11 btw if it's important;
RECOMMENDED:
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor: Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD equivalent
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT
- DirectX: Version 12
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 25 GB available space
- Sound Card: DirectX®-compatible
- Additional Notes: Internet connection and DirectX 12 compatible PC required.
Please find my current in-game graphic settings and SSU screenshots and SSU report as an attachment.
Thank you,
Erman

Hello,
I found the solution in my tests. I go to BIOS and turn the Resize Bar option off. Then log in to the game and booom, the issue fixed. I tried on 5-6 different servers both modded and official.
However, since I turn resize bar off, now I'm struggling with low fps. When resize bar is on, I had 85-90 fps. When it is off fps dropped to 45-50. And also, some screen distortion issue came up.
I bought this system only for this game (converted from PS5) and choose Intel Arc B580 as a graphic card because of its price and performance ratio. I was an older Nvidia user. Now I do not want to have a dissapointment due to a bad choice.
I need to turn the resize bar on to have a better fps in this game and the other games I'm playing. But this game is unplayable because of this rendering issue al the time. Can you fix this issue please? It would be great if there is possible solutions on newer drivers.
Thank you,
Erman

My A750 also has the same issue, which is clearly a problem unique to Arc graphics cards for Reforger

Hello Ermancelik,
Thank you for sharing the SSU and the screenshots of the settings. It seems that disabling the rebar resolves the background rendering issue, but it introduces a new problem with the FPS. I will need some time to investigate this further.

Hello,
Thank you for your response. I am looking forward to your proposed solution as soon as possible. I hope there is a permanent solution to this issue. Otherwise, I will switch from Intel to an Nvidia or AMD graphics card.
Best,

Hopefully a fix can be found.

Hello,
Also, I am sharing a screen recording to show you how significant the problem is. This issue occurs not only at the moment I first spawn but also at various points in the game. For example, when I drive to a combat area and exit the vehicle, the weapon in my hand and its scope fail to render. This makes it impossible to play the game in situations requiring quick reactions. Since the scope does not render, I cannot see elements like the red dot, etc., associated with the scope. As a result, the game essentially comes to a halt for me for 10-20 seconds. Additionally, while driving, the roads sometimes fail to render, giving the impression that I am moving on a flat gray surface. There are many other similar issues that I cannot fully list here.
I have installed the latest driver, version 32.0.101.6632, but the result has not changed.
I hope this issue can be resolved as soon as possible.

I had the same issue, and enabling Resizable BAR in the BIOS fixed it for me. I'm using WHQL version 31.0.101.4669.

As far as I understand, this problem does not occur even if Resizable Bar is enabled on older drivers. It seems there is an issue with the latest driver. I will give it a try and let you know if the issue persists. This could be a good reference for the Intel team to investigate. Thank you for the information.

Hi @ermancelik,
Apologies for the delayed response, I've recreated the issue you've mentioned with the slow rendering of images in Arma Reforger. I'm working internally to have the issue addressed. I'll keep you posted as soon as I have a concrete update to address the rendering issue.

Can you provide an estimated timeframe? It’s really frustrating to experience this problem with the new system I built about a month ago. Even with a recently released graphics card, I occasionally get 45-50 FPS in this game, and I’m playing on medium settings. I just want to know one thing: will this issue be resolved soon? If not, I’m planning to switch to Nvidia.
Arma Reforger is the only game I play, and I’m waiting for this problem to be fixed to truly enjoy it. If the solution will take time, I’d like to know so I can make my decision accordingly. This isn’t my first system build, but I’m on the verge of regretting my decision to purchase this particular graphics card for the first time.
Thanks,
Erman
