Intel Graphics Software fails to realize an update has taken place until manual PC restart.

When installing a driver update through IGS, once the update finishes opening the IGS will show the the latest driver version but IGS will still report updates are available. Pressing the update button will pointlessly reinstall the latest driver again (and the issue will still persist).

You need to restart your PC and then IGS will finally realize the update has concluded.

Hi djmrFunnyMan,

Thank you for posting in the communities!

I appreciate you sharing your findings regarding the update message on Intel Graphics Software.

No worries, I will further check on this. For me to determine the most appropriate resolution, could you please provide the needed details below:

  • Does the issue only happen when installing driver version: 32.0.101.6732?
  • When the computer boots up, does the problem usually occur, or does it only occur once after updating to the most recent graphics driver?
  • Have you tried performing a clean installation of your GFX drivers?

Best regards,

Hello.
1. No. The issue has affected driver updates for quite some time, not only 32.0.101.6732
2. The issue only occurs once after updating to the most recent graphics driver. Rebooting the computer fixes it.
3. I have done a clean reinstallation of my drivers several times in the past and the issue persists.

There's been no activity in this thread for a while so I'd like to clarify this issue still persists on the latest version.
