It's been a long time since the release of this graphics family and in my situation with the most recent drivers I'm still chasing a low performance with respect to this API (Open GL) I want to know if they are still working on that or if the case was over a long time ago

OpenGL has been around for a while, and while it's still widely used, many companies and developers have shifted their focus to newer graphics APIs, such as Vulkan and DirectX 12, which offer better performance and more modern features. That said, OpenGL has continued to receive some updates, though its performance may not be as optimized as the newer APIs. It’s possible that the specific drivers or hardware you're using might still have some bottlenecks when it comes to OpenGL support. Unfortunately, there hasn't been as much emphasis on major OpenGL improvements in recent years, since the focus has largely been on Vulkan or other newer technologies.
Consider trying Vulkan or DirectX (if supported by your hardware and software) for better performance, but if you're limited to OpenGL, it could also help to observe on any driver updates, as performance optimizations can vary with each release.
