Hello,
I have an Intel a770 16GB GPU. When playing Lego Fortnite, the game will crash eventually Sometimes within one minute of loading into the game. Sometimes 15 minutes. But it will crash.
I have tried installing the latest drivers (31.0.101.5382 WHQL Certified) (clean install). I also noticed in the update notes, that fortnite is not mentioned as an issue.
I have tried uninstalling the drivers (DDU).
I keep receiving the error below.
Please advise

Hi
It sounds like you're experiencing crashes while playing Lego Fortnite on your Intel A770 16GB GPU. These crashes occur inconsistently, sometimes within minutes of loading into the game.
You've already taken some troubleshooting steps, including installing the latest drivers (31.0.101.5382 WHQL Certified) through a clean install and uninstalling the drivers using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller).
Since these steps haven't resolved the issue, it's possible that the problem lies elsewhere. Here are a few additional suggestions you can try:
Verify Game Files: Use the platform's option to verify the integrity of the game files to ensure none are corrupted or missing.
Check Game Settings: Experiment with adjusting in-game graphics settings, such as resolution and detail levels, to see if lowering certain settings reduces the frequency of crashes.
Monitor GPU Temperature: Use monitoring software to check the temperature of your GPU while playing the game. Overheating can sometimes cause crashes.
Contact Game Support: Reach out to the support team for Lego Fortnite for further assistance and troubleshooting guidance. They may have specific suggestions or updates to address these crashes.
Also you can follow these steps below to fix the issue:
Get the latest Windows update:
- Open the Windows Start Menu (button with the Windows logo).
- Click Settings (button with the gear symbol).
- Click Update & Security.
- Select Install Now or Check for Updates.
- Wait for the update to be installed.
- Click Restart now after the update is installed.
Perform Graphics Driver Clean Installation:
- Download and install the latest Intel® Graphics driver.
- Refer to the List of Drivers for Intel Graphics for the specific driver needed for the integrated or discrete Intel graphics.
- Follow the Execute a Clean Installation During Driver Installation steps from the article: Clean Installation of Intel® Graphics Drivers in Windows*
I hope one of these suggestions helps resolve the issue so you can enjoy uninterrupted gameplay.
Regards,
Harry

Hi Harry, thank you for your reply
1. I reformatted the whole computer, and I'm still getting the same crashes.
2. I tried low, med, high settings. I've tried dx11, dx12. I feel like I've tried many combinations, but I'm still getting the same crashes.
3. No temp issues after monitoring it.
4. Game support isn't getting back to me. I was hoping Intel works directly with the game developer, to fix issues such as this, via the driver.
As per your other suggestions, My computer is up to date and I've already done the clean driver install + formatted my whole computer.

Let's face it, the Intel Arc & Iris Xe drivers still have issues with older games and Intel needs to be working to resolve these issues. I see Intel working away at the addition of AI and other capabilities, including within these drivers, and not working to fix any of the existing issues in the drivers. Sounds like they are going to innovate themselves to death the way they are focussed.

Hi, ArcAngel.
Apologize for the long wait. To assist us in resolving the issue, kindly see the following steps:
- Try using different versions of the graphics driver to determine if the driver might be the cause of the issue. It's important to use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) when changing drivers to ensure a clean installation. The driver versions available for testing are:
- I'd like to delve deeper and verify specifics like the graphics models, precise driver versions, and any system errors. Utilizing the Intel SSU tool will enable us to collect detailed information about your system setup, which could aid in identifying the underlying cause of this issue.
- I'm interested to know if there have been any recent updates from the game developer that might address the issue.
Looking forward to your response. Have a nice day!
