I am currently on driver 31.0.101.4257
When I update to a new driver version, after restarting my computer gets stopped at the Windows Welcome screen, and freezes there (screen not responsive / rendering / updating time). I don't have a password on my login so it normally only lingers on this screen for a split second before logging me in.
Drivers that I have tried which cause this issue:
31.0.101.4314
31.0.101.4335
31.0.101.4369
Additionally, I have graphical issues when browsing websites that have videos or images, usually excessive flickering and elements moving around the browser window in chunks.
I've had multiple "Blue Screen of Death" crashes due to video failures when trying to run multiple games including tabletop simulator and wartales, especially when alt-tabbing between windows (like to check discord) during loading.
I've had multiple instances of the screen flashing to black and then reappearing, only to have crashed all instances of discord on my computer for some reason.
Most of these seem driver related, but, as I said, I cannot seem to update to new drivers without being locked out of my computer (the only way back in is to use Windows Recovery to roll back to an earlier state).
I have attached a scan using Intel System Support Utility.

Hello Brawph
Thank you for posting on the Intel® ARC™ Graphics Communites. I am sorry you are experiencing freezes and system hangs when updating your graphics driver.
Please open individual threads for the other issues you mention in order to keep one issue per thread to prevent confusion at the moment of, requesting and providing information as well as when doing troubleshooting.
As for these system freezes, this is a known issue that we are currently investigating that generally happens in older hardware that is not listed on the Intel® Arc™ System requirements website. Some customers have reported the issue can be fixed by enabling Resizable Bar. Could you please check if Resizable BAR is enabled on your system?
Also, please try updating your BIOS to the latest version. You can download it from your motherboard manufacturer's website.
Best Regards,
Hugo O.

Hi Hugo,
While I tried to turn on Resizable bar via instructions online, my motherboard's bios lacks the required settings to enable it.
I assume either the B450M Pro4 is too old for this feature, or I need a newer bios version.
However, looking at the list you have linked to, none of these say they are for Intel systems, they only mention support for AMD and Nvidia, so are they safe to use? Which one should I be using?
Also almost all of them say "*ASRock do NOT recommend updating this BIOS if you are going to use Pinnacle, Raven or Summit Ridge CPU on your system." and my current CPU is a pinnacle ridge CPU according to their compatibility list.
The only one that doesn't appears to be 5.7, so should is that one safe to use? (even though it says it's meant to improve GeForce RTX 40 series?)
Let me know, Thanks!

Hello Brawph
The most ideal will be to update to the latest version 5.7 which should contain all of the improvements from previous versions, however, I would advise you to contact the manufacturer to make sure there is not going to be any issue after updating and to also ask them whether the motherboard as support for Resizable BAR.

It's good to hear the issue got looked at for a future driver version.
Yes, please close the thread if it hasn't been already.
I gave it more time before replying to make sure it worked, but now it seems like either updating the bios or turning on resizeable bar (or both) helped.
