Hello, i seem to be having some artificing on some apps. so far this or a variation of what you see in the attached short clip and picture. so far ive only noticed this on chrome, edge both just to the left of the minimize button and on the steam friends list.
has anything like this been seen before? i really hope my B580 isn't already dying after around 2 months of owning it.
any help, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
thank you,

Thats must be hardware acceleration problem, try disable it in browsers and check the problem.
Its general issue with internet browsers i had the same on nvidia card and firefox. Random driver crash.
Maybe also Windows can use acceleration on UI elements, but im not sure.
If you can play games and pass Furmark test your card is not dying.

Windows 10 and 11 do have hardware acceleration for their UI which can be disabled. I will give that a try this evening and see if it alleviates the issue. Still strange since I don't have this problem with other dedicated GPUs. If it's a driver issue more people should have reported on this...

I disabled Windows hardware acceleration but the issue does persist. Btw. It does not show up in screen recordings it has something to do with the output. I tried different hdmi and Displayport cables and monitors. Issue is not present with onboard GPU.

Looks like monitor bad pixels, but its not.
You could try different resolutions refresh rates?
Maybe also some driver settings or you could try driver rollback.

Thanks four your help. But that did not solve it. See my post on this forum for more detailed information and what I tried already: https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-ARC-Graphics/Intel-Arc-B580-Pixel-Errors/m-p/1685737

Hi there, thanks for the reply. I will download Furmark when I get home from work and give'er a go. I have also had minor artifacting in steam as well specifically the chat window that shows your friends list. I will try the same with steam and disable hardware acceleration. I will also try a different refresh rate for my monitor.
Curious though if this issue is not persistent with onboard graphics that would lead me to believe that its the B580 as the culprit. Either on the hardware or software side would it not?
