https://store.steampowered.com/app/1691400/The_Market_of_Light/
Market of Light is a free UE5 game (okay, more a showcase with minimal gameplay) that can be found on Steam. Unfortunately it has several graphical glitches on my Arc 770 16 GiB. They were there when I bought my Arc A770 last December and they are still there 11 months later with the latest official driver 4887.
Best is to view a video on Youtube that shows how it should look and then compare it to what Arc makes out of it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SV81mMDAsyo
(not my own video)
Most obvious problem is the Piaggio Ape that is parked in the market right after flying through the tunnel. All plastic and rubber parts are missing and the poor Ape looks like it was second in a fight with a truck.
Also the spring in the upper part of the market is broken and looks rather edged.
The parasols are missing metal parts.
In general the graphics looks rather overbright and washed out on Arc.
My system:
AMD Ryzen 7 3700x
MSI B550 Pro-A
64 GiB DDR4-3000 memory
Arc A770 LE 16 GiB @ 4887
Windows 11 22H2
I would like to avoid the Intel report utility (I hate such utilities because the user never knows what exactly they send over the net) but can provide pictures of the most broken parts if needed and of course additional information.
Already deinstalled old driver files with DDU and reinstalled the latest Arc driver.
Also uninstalled and reinstalled Market of Light and made sure that the config-folder under Users was deleted, too.
regards

Hello DeltaHotel80,
Thank you for posting on the Intel
To have a better understanding of the situation, please answer the following questions:
- Is the graphics card an Intel Branded card or form another brand?
- I see you share a video of the game, but in order to understand this issue in a better way, can you share a video showing the issue in your system?
- Take screenshots of the game settings.
- To know you system configurations download and attach the report for the following tool Intel® System Support Utility for Windows (SSU), you can find the steps on the link How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows.

Ok, here it comes.
I also uploaded screenshots of the most broken parts.
1) The Piaggio Ape is missing all parts made from rubber or plastic
2) The spring in the middle of the market place is missing round edges. Also the mist effect is too thick on Arc
3) Parasols are missing metal parts
4) Overall the graphics are way too overbright on ARC.
I understand ARC still has some issues with UE5 games (even if there are not that many on the market at the moment). Maybe getting the glitches out of this showcase is a good exercise for making ARC fit for UE5 games coming in late 2023/2024.

There is no ingame menu for graphics settings, everything is controlled with the config files under the Windows Users folder. The only thing that can be changed is the resolution (between 1080p or 1440p) by pressing "F" at the beginning of the game.

Hello DeltaHotel80,
Thank you for your response and for all the information provided.
Please follow the steps below and let me know the results:
- Can you let me know if the graphics card is an Intel Branded Card or from another brand? This is to know which graphics cards it happens to.
- I see on the Intel SSU, that you have the latest graphics driver installed, to see if the behavior changes clean install graphics driver to version 31.0.101.4887 with Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU). If you need guidance, How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver.
- We recommend to keep the system up to date, update BIOS to the latest version A.C1, for installation steps you can contact MSI.

Andres P.

It is original 16 GB Intel Limited Edition. Bought it because of the phantastic RGB lighting.
Already used DDU to remove all old drivers before installing the most recent one.
I will check if my UEFI/BIOS is the most recent one.

Updated the UEFI to the most recent version. Problems with Market of Light are still there like before.
Because of problems with the newest UEFI I have to completely reinstall Windows 11 in the next days. I will test Market of Light again with a fresh Windows 11 install with only the necessary drivers installed and see, if that changes the situation.

Sorry, no further testing from me. That problem with the new UEFI os more serious then I thought.
But I installed the ARC 770 16 GB LE in another PC (this time an Intel system with a 13700k, MSI Z790 mainboard, 32 GiB memory and Windows 11 22H2) and there the game is as broken as it was in the Ryzen system. From my POV that is clearly a driver problem with the ARC.

Hello DeltaHotel80,
Thank you for keeping informed about the testing, that helps a lot.
This week we released a new graphics driver, please test this driver and let me know the results. Follow the steps below to complete the installation:
- One more time clean install graphics driver to version 31.0.101.4900 with DDU. If you still need guidance, remember to use the article How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver.

That may take a week or two, my Windows is broken and the product key can no longer be activated. So I need to get a new product key first and then reinstall Windows 11. Seems to be related to Microsofts decision to no longer allow Windows 7 and 8 keys for activating Windows 11.
Is there no digital Greasemonkey in the Intel testing department that can do the humongous task to download the free game from Steam and test it with an ARC to see if he can confirm my findings?

Hello DeltaHotel80,
Thank you for all your time.
I want to let you know that our debug team concluded the issue comes from the application itself. Demo was built on UE5 Early Access before integration of the 64-bit atomics extension. Degraded and corrupted graphics are expected and cannot be resolved without an engine upgrade from the engine dev.
Let me know if you have further questions.

Andres P.
