Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble with my new PC build, and I'm hoping someone can help me out. Here are my specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- Motherboard: Aorus B550M Elite Micro ATX
- GPU: Intel Arc A770
- PSU: Cooler Master 750W
Issue:
When I set up my PC with the Intel Arc A770 GPU, the system starts (fans spin, lights come on), but there's no display output. However, if I switch to a lower-end GPU, the system boots and displays just fine. I've also tested the Intel Arc A770 in another system, and it works perfectly there. No Problem with CPU, Motherboard, GPU. Each of them tested differently.
What I've Tried So Far:
- BIOS Update: Updated the motherboard BIOS from version FB to FE.
- Power Supply: Verified that the PSU has sufficient wattage (750W) and proper PCIe power connectors for the GPU.
- Reseated GPU: Removed and reinstalled the GPU to ensure a proper connection.
- Checked Power Connections: Confirmed all power connections (24-pin, 8-pin CPU, PCIe power connectors) are secure.
- Minimum Components Test: Tried booting with only essential components outside the case (CPU, one stick of RAM, PSU, and GPU).
- Monitor and Cables: Ensured the monitor is on the correct input source and tried different cables.
Additional Information:
- The system boots and works perfectly with a different, lower-end GPU.
- The Intel Arc A770 works fine in another compatible system.
- No physical damage or debris in the PCIe slots or on the GPU.
Request:
Has anyone encountered a similar issue with the Intel Arc A770 or a similar setup? Any suggestions on additional steps I could try or insights into potential compatibility issues would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi Sakline_Mustak,
Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.
Firstly, I want to express our gratitude for the comprehensive details you've provided and for your diligent efforts in troubleshooting the issue thus far.
To continue our diagnostic process, I have a couple of additional steps that may help us pinpoint the problem:
1. Have you had the chance to install the Intel® Arc™ graphics card in a different PCIe slot on your system? Doing so can help us determine if the issue is related to the specific slot or the card itself.
2. Additionally, could you please confirm if the Resizable BAR (Re-Size BAR) feature is enabled in your system's BIOS? This setting can significantly impact the performance and compatibility of your graphics card.
Reference Guide:
For further guidance, the Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics – Desktop Quick Start Guide offers valuable insights and may provide solutions to the issue you're encountering.
